Oh god. Do not add a GE. It totally killed the game... there was no use for the trade window once GE came out... no player interaction... no difficulty... it was AWFUL

I will quit and my decade or longer of playing this game will finally end :\
WE DONT WANT QUITTERS IN OUR COMMUNITY THEY RUIN THE GAME

- ADAPT OR QUIT.

I just can't agree that World 1 trading is considered true player interaction.. or that anyone actually enjoys it, but we are just venting our own individual opinions. I have tried the other website, and I will say honestly that I've had about a 20% success rate buying what I'm needing, as I never can find these people, they are never online when I am, or not where they say they are. I play overnights, so I guess I have to change my hours to suit everyone else. I hate the current trade system, but I will live with it, if I have to. But no matter what the trade solution is, can't the die-hards still trade ptp the way they want to? There seems to be enough that like the current system so that they can still use other website, and still use spammy neon world 1 because they like it this way. So no matter what it is, can't they still choose to not use it and trade the old way with each other as they choose? Even after GE, people still traded each other if they wanted, and still bartered, still had interaction (in fact so many people hung out at GE and met up there, and played around). That choice is always there. And an area as expansive as GE was, no one stepped on each other, or stood atop anvils or made certain areas unusable, and it was easier to find individual people. I hope wherever whatever this place ends up, it has breathing and walking room.

Not sure if I completely understand how this works but something I would like to recommend is being able to send a player you want to negotiate with a message even when they are offline and they can read it when they get on. This way you guys can communicate even if you aren't on at the same time.

Check out my proposal of what can be done to help remedy the situation! The Oldschool Proposal is the name of the thread and I believe a lot of you guys will agree that this would be the best route for oldschool to take if they are going to implement any kind of trading system in the game. If you want to know my idea go check out the post and please leave your feedback it is important, as this could be the solution that everyone agrees with.

good idea just a few suggestions :

- 1 persons cannot put in multiple buy/sell offers on the same items ( to prevent manipulation and confusion )
- Make it so there will be some kind of fee that must be paid to the 'auction house'
( for example make it a weekly/monthly fee for example 500k a week to be able to use it )

- Input a system to make it show a suggested price range based on the recent trades of the item. ( for example 10 players buy/sell and item in between 1k and 1304 coins , the auction house should then show the suggested price range 1000-1304 gp )

Other than that it seems like a great system

Just make the option to access the A H from any general store. I remember before the GE came out we would camp at the general stores to buy things people would dump in them that didn't want the hassle of trying to sell the items by trade. When the GE came out all of the general stores died and no one used them anymore. This would also have the benifit of the AH being accessable for people on slayer tasks and doing quests without having to go to a central location like we have to do now with the GE.

+1 I would love to see this at the general stores.
