WOW I love the idea. for thing to consider:

location of the auction ? varrock were old g e was.

make sure people can "chill" around the auction house and train fire-making and cooking. i really like talking with people while i skills and if auction is place where people wait for item to sell. people can train boring skills while socialize with others.

QUESTION:
1) what order if the item be listed ?? first older at top ? or recent order at top or lowest price ( ea) order ?

Here is a suggestion to the idea: You could make it so that if the player who is selling something is online, a chat box in the Auction House interface would show up, and then you could talk to the seller in person to help retain some player interaction. Of course this would be optional.

Also, offers should only last up to 48 hours (that's usually how long other games have their Auction House setup), but of course you could choose to only put an offer up for 6, 12, 24 hours as well in case you want to start bidding wars.

I HATE trading on Old School, especially when you can't find someone that wants your stuff. I am totally for a trading solution when you guys say that it's ruining everything. IT'S ONE CHANGE. Just one. Not a big deal. It's just trying to make trading easier. Nothing more. Some of you guys say that it's becoming EoC. No way, we're very far from that. They'd never make Old School EoC, because, well -
1. We have EoC (Why would they make two?)
2. It's called Old School for a reason.

Although, I get your points. I mean adding something like this is making it less old school, and that's a little hard to hear, but I personally think we need it.

No. lazy people need this. Loyal people to old school runescape know better than this. Lets just hope there is not more than 75% of just straight lazy people, on a game, voting on this pole.

If the trade system gives an average sell/buy price for items, please make sure that average is taken only form completed trades, so players can't put offers up no one accepts which are ridiculously high or low just to manipulate the system.

Let players put whatever price they want, but don't count it in the average prices unless it actually results in a completed trade.

QUICK QUESTION! NOT ANSWERED IN OP!

If I want to buy say 250 Whips for 1400k ea and someone is selling 1k whips for 1400k each and he is the lowest priced seller, will I be able to buy 250 of his whips for 1400k and then he be left with 750 he still needs to sell? If not don't bother putting this in.

You will need to contact the seller and negotiate directly with him.

That won't work, we need to be able to complete offers when one player is offline.

Just make an option from the seller.
Allow buy X amount.
Or must buy all.

That simple.
Hi.
