I believe that the introduction of the GE was one of the reasons that the interactivity of players seemed to disappear a number of years ago. Having to go to a known location (Varrock Bank) and then to a certain area around the bank (Rear of anvils) to sell range equipment, gives players a sense of community and an atmosphere that I think RS3 lacks.

I agree, the GE made buying and selling extremely convenient. But, the cost of that was that players no longer had to struggle and interact with other players to upgrade their gear. Any item you wanted, you could have instantly...if you had the cash.

I really like this option, it is similar to the GE but with key differences. I like that we will still be able to interact with other players if we would like to. It will be a good way to get items very quick. I also like that there is no Jagex regulated price, as with how it is now the price fluctuations are effected by player supply and demand. I know people want a lootshare system but with a lootshare system it would require predetermined prices for items (what we won't want from a trade system). I think this is a very good solution and I am interested in seeing what will happen if you folks develop a coinshare system. Cheers

Not sure if this has been addressed but what's stopping rich players from completely buying out markets? You can say the same with the current marketplace from the forums but the inconvenience of not being able to sell offline makes it extremely hard to really dominate a market. Sellers also rely on buyer posts so that also makes some of the market inaccessible to buy out.

I feel like if anything it should just be made so you can trade from different places as long as you both are online in the same world.

You should be able to set a buy an offer with a specific price and quantity much like you would a sell offer. When someone is selling that item your buy iffer will automatically buy it if it as at your buy price or for anything unfer your buy price or at the sellers price. So for example if your buy offer was a whip at 1.5m and somone put in a sell offer for 1.4, yould atou buy it for 1.4.

If you want a better price you should use player to player interaction and negotiate for it.

Failing that if you bid 1.5m and the GE bought one for 1.4, you should have to pay the full 1.5m that you were willing to pay for it.

The other party should only receive 1.4m because that is what he was willing to accept and the game should give the balance remaining to ME! Muahahaha!

No, the balance remaing should be removed from the game, if you want the best price shouldn't you be required to post the best price?

Why should the trade system reward you with the best prices and and the fastest action just because you placed a false bid.

That is part and parcel to what is wrong with the other GE and is exactly how it becomes the best money maker in the game, you can bid the wrong price see the right price instantly and then just rake in the dough flipping items at the right prices.
Ha ha, made you look ;)

I like the idea. My input is I think 10-12 hours after log off. This way people can buy/sell overnight or while working.

Also, please make it where if there is a setting to sell partial, that you can specify increments. For example, I'm selling 200k Nature Runes at 240ea. You can buy less, but in increments of 1000, and maybe even a minimum amount. Just some thoughts.

LOVE THE UPDATES RECENTLY THANKS!!!!!

Wow. This is the end. Glad I only have 8 days of membership left. All Jagex had to do was add some sort of forum/posting of selling/buying offers solution, like what ***** already does but directly through Runescape. Being able to buy and sell while offline will be the death of this game. Say goodbye to playing interaction for trading. Say goodbye to merching in world 1. Say hello to easy price manipulation and AFK merching for the rich. Thanks for killing the classic game I loved, Jagex. I knew you'd find a way to muck everything up. It seems like you always do.
