look it only seems "cool" because its different, ive played guildwars 2 and world of warcraft, and this is exactly where this auction design is coming from.
if i needed to buy 5000 bones, and people were selling in quantities of 200-500, would i have to make multiple sale orders? i am not quite sure how this problem will be addressed

I don't quite understand how a buyer would be able to buy something offline if they have to choose a player to trade with. Or is it a case of specifying the price you would like to buy for and waiting for someone to match that price?
Buying just opens a list of all the current sellers. You'd not be able to buy things while being offline, however you'd be able to sell items if you needed to go offline.
So, essentially, only sellers are going to complete transactions whilst offline? Just seems like a weaker version of the G.E. in my opinion.

No. Stop copying WoW and think up something on your own.
If it works for wow why wouldn't you want to copy them? They're an extremely successful MMO. Not everything needs to be unique for the sake of being different. If something is successful and logical then I don't see why you wouldn't want to implement something similar.
Obviously something as generic as a trading system shouldn't be confused with ACTUAL wow specific content and gameplay mechanics.

I think thats part of what makes it better. Being able to purchase items while offline was kinda meh. Could log in and craft my limit worth of hides, logout and log back in later after I purchased more hides. At least this way I need to be online to purchase the items in the market.
Will vote against it as I don't want trading to occur when not online after all not progressing through the game is when not playing is why bots are illegal. Second I will vote against as I don't want any automated system. Show a list of offerings like craigs and then make players add the person and decide on a meeting location. Anything else is simply a revamped GE which wont pass.

Not comfortable at all with the offline trading ability, so that's a no for me.
I could deal with players not having to physically meet to trade, so long as they still interact in
some
way at the time of trade, ie. via a trade window, to deter auto-trading...
...but as this stands, no thanks.
