I
don't
personally like the idea of allowing players to change their votes.
I very much
like
the idea of hiding poll results. Maybe you could make it so the results are hidden until the player has fully voted, or maybe even hide the results from everyone within the first couple of days, then show the results after a specific duration.

I think that depending on what is being polled, Jagex should use their discretion on whether it takes 70 or 75% votes to pass.
For example, since most players are PvM/PvP, if a poll that will effect those who do not PvM or PvP (not just pures or Ironmen) should pass at 70% imo. The Artisan skill would have been a wonderful addition for skillers, but as skillers are a minority, it did not pass.
For example - If it affects Ironmen then all Ironmen/Ironwomens (we do live in the 21st century after all) votes count as 1 or 100% of a vote. All other votes count as 0.5/50%
I notice a lot of lower level content does not pass. I think this is mainly because higher level players think Jagex shouldn't waste time on that content as it "wont affect them". Maybe when polling that, then then new or low level players get a heavier weighted vote.
Similarly if there is a vote on BIS lvl 90 gear or Boss mechanics etc, then someone that's been playing for 3 weeks might not understand the implication of their vote (not to be patronising) therefore the higher lvls could be weighted more in votes there
Keep up the good work and if you use my idea I expect Tassets in payment!!

No. As a 1 defense pure I am aware that I choose to limit myself and do not wish to be treated differently for it. The only thing I support is more info on polls and hiding the results from polls and hiding the results
Maybe the solution is to have people self identify the categories they fall into? For example, I would be a Main/PVMer account build. If I identified as such via something In game, then only questions that are relevant to me should be able to be voted upon.
You would obviously be able to change your identification, but it would require a delay as to prevent people changing to vote no against pure accounts. This would also promote people to vote on all of their accounts that are eligible.

Big updates like the Divine spirit shield or Raids gear (Elder, Twisted, Kodai) always got to around 70% or a bit higher, which is a very significant amount. At first when the polling-system was added at 75% passing rate it was a really nice thing as most of the people came from Pre-EOC having quit as Jagex kept adding things to the game that ruined the whole game for them, but as time passed by, there's a huge chunk of people in the game that never truely played the older version of the game and don't really know what certain updates mean, and do to the game. The voice of high level players is valued like that of a 1 week old account and the most sought after and end-tier updates don't reach the game by just a slight percentage time after time. Making the questions pass at 70% should be added without a poll, and it would make the whole polling-system more relevant to the current state of the game.
Idk how I feel, seems a bit late to go around changing things as of right now but having updates targeted at certain groups could either be a great thing or a disaster making it way easier for those players.
ive been saying this for years.. it makes absolutely no sense, that a minor 25 % should control what 75 % want. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
I made a thread 2 years ago about the unfair bias poll system, and I agree better and more content can pass with the % lowered. or exclusive polls for the unique community's.
