Exzel sums it up perfectly. People thought we were getting real raids like in any other MMO where you run through a dungeon fighting crap getting loot while doing it. Usually a big boss at the end and a few mini bosses on the way. Not this crap must prep, farm and get one shotted anyway by most of these. Raids usually have different combat level requirements. You could have level 70, 80, 90 and 100+ combat raids. Making creatures only take damage from one combat style is really dumb. A few creatures that can only be harmed by melee or range ok but all of them requiring exact stab slash crush is no good. Drakes need a buff to be worth killing and not a blocked task

The amount of hours you've spent programming and all that crap for this. Raids are awful, floors are terribly laid out, rewards are dreadful. Kinda ripped off dungeoneering then fucked it up completely.

I think an extra farming patch would of been a better update (Y)

Jagex mod and fellow peer players,

The 60 attack stab weapon was a great idea. However, THIS IS A RAIDS REWARD? Myself and i'm sure many in the community, especially pures, would agree that the Dragon SWORD is performing quite sub par to its slash counter part (dragon scim). An item only available through raids (an extremely difficult encounter) with a rare drop chance should perform significantly better against a weapon that can be bought from a monkey on an island for 100,000 coins.

My suggestion is to boost the stab attack bonus from +65 to +107 and also change the str bonus from +63 to +69. This gives it a clear advantage over using a dragon scimitar (as it should being that it is obtained as a RAIDS REWARD). It would perfectly nestle its self as a best in slot 60 attack stab weapon. For those who feel uncomfortable with this change keep in mind that it WOULD NOT unbalance other weapons with higher attack requirement such as 70-75 attack slot. As an example the whip/tentacle provides a well balanced +83/90 slash bonus and +82/86 str bonus allowing it to remain a better weapon choice for someone with a higher attack level then the dragon sword would provided the buff was passed. In addition to that 70-75 attack tier, the Sara Sword and God swords would also maintain their position. Last and not forgotten the zamorakian hasta was also taken into consideration when I thought of a reasonable buff for the dragon sword as a RAIDS REWARD. The zam hasta has a +85 stab bonus but also has +65 slash and crush with a +75 str bonus making it a generally versatile weapon with its primary use being stab - it would still hit harder then the dragon sword.

Finally,
I'd like to thank the Jagex mods who read these forums and also the active community.
Nice work over all with raids. It looks spectacular and is quite fun of an encounter.
Please take my recommendation into consideration. I look forward to your feedback.

I agree with that guy about the dragon short sword. It's stats are very sub par for how hard it is to get. Even the leaf bladed sword has higher stab attack and it's a lvl 50 weapon. At the lowest the dragon short sword should match the dragon scimmy in accuracy and str. I think it should have mid 70s stab so it's higher than the leaf bladed sword but if it at least matches the scimmy that would be fine. Drakes need a buff to be worth killing and not a blocked task

Suggestions

Make game length options for party leader. Large medium or small length games. The concept will stay the same but the actual raid length will be playable for people who don't have time to waste two to three hours on basically a boss run. At this stage it's worth just bossing like normal and using the coins earned to buy the items rather then wasting two hours on bad loot. I love the concept and the feel of a party but not at this long drawn out time length for 2 fangs a dark relic and 1 dragon arrow

Small raid, approximate time completion 30 to 45 mins

Medium raid, approximate time completion 45 to an hour and a half

Large raid, approximate time completion two and a half to three and a half hours

In turn, encouraging longer games by making it so longer games rack up more points and boosts the chance at rare items as well as decent loot regardless, with medium games being less chance at rare but at a still fair rate and then speed games that are souly for that group who just wants to have fun with the slight chance at rare items and okay loot.

This is the best option to fix such a bad start up to the most anticipated update of the year

Also construction is useless. Make a mob room with zombies coming out of the walls and make it so that someone with high construction can seal off the holes they are coming from with planks or whatever use usable in that room in order to pass, would make the construction skill at least have it's own reason in this dungeon lol
