Monk brings up a very good point that must be addressed appropriately. The non multi strip south of drags has been a hot spot for years. Simply removing this would change the dynamic of pking. However I do support the bulk of this update.

I also have a small suggestion that might strike some controversy; however I do think it should be considered for the good of the game. Back in 2006/2007 we were dealing with a player base almost ten fold of what we currently have now. In order to increase the instance of player interaction within the wild, I think the following should be considered: Decrease the number of worlds (servers).

How many you choose to remove should be based on calculations your development team makes based on traffic and server density. An update such as this will not only manifest itself within the wild, but throughout the whole game. The player base will be more highly concentrated, giving us that true oldschool feel once again.

I hope you take this suggestion into consideration. I truly do think it will make a difference if appropriately implemented.

You decrease the amount of servers and then you would have people complain, about other things, that there are too many people at specific resources ect. It's a double edged sword.

i think this is a could be one of the greatest updates/projects in rs history as long as it is done and implemented properly

i think the swag bag should be replaced by npc's that note resources for a small fee

i think the number of servers overall should be reduced but not too much too little is better than too much we can always ask for more to be reduced but if you reduce too much it will ruin alot of aspects of gameplay+ this update

I THINK THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS PVP WORLDS STAY HOW THEY ARE NOW + ALL OTHER WORLDS FEATURE "REJUVINATED WILDY" this means people who wanna use non trades can stay in pvp worlds where they belong

aviansies thing is a great idea + needs to be in a multi zone

all dragon spawns except one green drags should be single way combat
TAG TEAM IS MORE FUN THAN MULTI

do not remove any of the forests or any graphical things that make the wildy easier to escape from #play hard or die hard

put high level slay monsters "in a cage so they cant attack people without slay lvl" scattered around wildy with either a 50% chance of double loot or a 50% chance at an extra roll on the drop table

make sure demi bosses are competitive gp/hour with solo gwd -this will bring alot of higher level interest + content

ents-BRILLIANT IDEA AS LONG AS U DONT SAY LARGE LOG AMOUNTS + THEN ITS LIKE 15.... THE PVM SIDE OF THINGS IN THIS PROJECT NEED TO OFFER THE BEST XP/MONEY FOR ALL LEVELS TO INCOURAGE A FULL + DIVERSE WILDY COMMUNITY

Meh...like the idea but this will only benefit people with lots of e-friends and money.

Please dont make it over the top because solo players like me will only get disadvantages from this...

Please realize you are also banishing the poor people from getting coins at green dragons.

Conclusion: I'm afraid many poor/solo players will feel disadvantaged and perhaps quit.

omfg yes! this is one of the best dev blogs i've read since osrs was released :D

1 question about the 'fountain of rune', if you don't need to use any runes, wouldn't it be abused by players buying like 10k maple longs 100gp under alch price and alch them for free 1m profit? if you have some high level friends you can just ask them too protect you and make massive profit. but i guess this might attract bigger clans.

but like desdevious said, can we keep 1 green drag spot single area? im cb 115 with 85 def so i guess i can tank these noob dragons but some1 with lower def might come in a risky situation with 3 dragons attacking him. making green drags multi will remove the majority of green drag bots probably.

edit: graveyard drags is probably best to stay single as many rangers kill drags here, and there aren't that many bots @ graveyard drags

also really like the new shields, but pls make them alot stronger than obby shields (pehaps make them equal to dfs, equal to obby shields will make them be worth less than 1m probably).

And how many players do you think, will actually go out there and risk? Tbh I'm having a hard time imagining hundreds of skillers going into the wilderness after this update.
The only people I've seen so far who support this idea are pkers, I haven't seen a single skiller here on the forums say: woot, can't wait to go to the wilderness and get wrecked while I collect resources!
Even if those people exist, it'll be near-dead content or just new content for bots.

Not every skiller or pvmer needs to go there. I'm sure that some people are interested about the best fish in the game, new shields, dragon pickaxe etc.
When those people go there to get that stuff, that will thrive pkers to hunt them, teams to hunt those and clans to hunt teams. This will cause endless action to the wilderness.

Of course that would be the best kind of scenario, not probably the truth, but I just cannot see this as a dead content.
