I like most of these ideas but I still have a couple of questions:

1: When we fight e.g. Ents with icy ancients magicks spells, will the (demi/skill) bosses be able to attack from a distance?
So yes, will they be able to attack with magic and ranged? So we can't just use protection prayers for that 1 attack style.

2: Us pures wear ghostly robes as magic armor and isn't worth anything to a pker, this ought to be good items to convert to gold when a player dies in the wilderness BUT there's is a catch to this since everyone, who has completed The Curse of Zaros miniquest, can obtain these pieces infinitly inside the wilderness.
E.g. 2 friends, 1 collecting ghostly robes until he has collected 28 and his friends then kills him for the money. While waiting for his friend to return he could be gathering an invent of ghosly robes and let his friend kill him.
This method could ruin the gold income and economy but if you don't make these ghosly robe pieces into gold when a player dies, then most ppl will just use these since it's free and pkers won't kill you.

3: I like the idea of a remote location with magic trees and runite ores where you'll need to pay a guardian to get in and a pker can pay the same guardian so the pker may enter aswel. This is a great money drain but it still needs to be profitable for the skillers so the payment to the guardian may not be too much.
I do have a problem how you can see when there is someone in that skilling area or not. Will the guardian tell the pker that might be someone inside when you refresh his mind? Or do you pay the guardian once and then hop in that skilling area until you find someone?

4: The 'swag' bag, (I want another name), will you only be able to use it inside the wilderness? I really would be Over Powered if you could use it like e.g. a coal bag?
Will you be able to put items inside the bag when you're not in the wilderness, e.g. pking supplies? From what level will you be able to put items in this ba

If these new resources aren't limited to a few worlds, then the wilderness will stay dead.

Reason for this is, someone could be gathering a resource in a world with 100 people with no danger.

Prices would crash, and there would be no risk going into the wilderness.

For this update to work the best, needs to be limited to 2-3 worlds. I hope the Jagex team can see that.

Nice idea, but should consider offering better xp rates as well.

Just money isn't going to be all that tempting for a lot of players, due to GWD, RWT, swapping RS3 -> OSRS gp etc.


Also problem with OSRS combat system is that a lot of your combat abilities are based on stats, so its really easy to go in the wilderness and kill bosses, collect resources etc in low end gear (ie: dscim, black dhide, glory, nezzy, etc) assuming you have high stats.

Should look at doing something like in RS3 where wilderness skulls are removed, and you drop all items on death in some worlds (offering better resources in the wilderness in these worlds)

If just half of it come though... Can't even imagen how happy I will be!

Holy WOW, I'm speechless. This Dev-blog is literally packed! Amazing!


To the people saying that the experience rates will be higher, it's totally NOT the case! If you remember how hectic the Forinthry cave was before EOC you'd know that small and large teams patrolled the cave constantly. I've died a few times when doing slayer tasks at the greater demons (yep it's FAST exp but at a risk). I've also died more times than i can count at the revenants, it's completely balanced because the wilderness will be swarming with players.

No no no, I imagine you play rs3 because your mentality is completely different from most osrs players.

1. We don't want faster exp rates, that devalues past achievements.

2. That is not a problem with the combat, that is a very good thing. Your capabilities should mainly rely on your stats, not your armor - which relies on your wealth.

3. Making it so you are instantly skulled is also a bad idea. Maybe making it so when you attack one of the bosses it skulls you would be an ok idea but making insta skull all over in wild is an idea very few people would like.

Well said! Should aswell be 1x1.2 exp inside wilderness from training melee on the creatures in multi.
