Awesome! I'm especially excited over the ditch being removed! I know the original intentions were to protect players, but I feel as if being lured is the personal fault of the victim.

If someone invites you to Edgeville or Varrock Wild with promises of free stuff/lots of gold and for you to bring your stuff/bank too? Doesn't that sound too good to be true? Use common sense and don't fall for tricks. It's really easy. Don't let you greed overtake your personal judgement.

I am EXTREMELY impressed with these proposed changes. Huge support, here.

I am not a PKer. I am a hardcore PvMer and play this game for slayer, clues, and bosses. However, I understand how important it is that our PvP community stays thriving.

Using this 'food chain' mentality to revive the wilderness is simply brilliant - and these ways to help bring in faster resources and XP (but not ruin the game by making things too easy to make money or skills) while offering a target for PKers, is simply awesome.

The key to keeping this game thriving is a great balance between PvM and PKers and this is such a brilliant way to accomplish it.

Huge support. Be smart, community. Get this in here asap.

A true revival of the wild.

You enter the wild, jump over the ditch with nothing but gp.

There is low lvl resources at the bottom of the wild and high lvl resources at the top of the wild.

Low lvl monsters are at the bottom of the wild. High lvl monsters with better drops and bosses are at the top of the wild.

There are locations to turn the resources into armor, weapons, runes, potions, and cooked food.

There is no restriction on where you can tele from when in the wild.

True pkers would have to go to gathers, pvmers, and artisans for their gear. If they killed those people they would become known to other gathers, pvmers, and artisans as such and would have very few people willing to trade with them.

Pkers could camp the resource and artisan spots protecting skillers for pkers, in hopes of getting some armor, weapons and food from the skillers.

True skillers and pvmers would find those to actually protect them.

And then for those truly immersed into every skill, they would truly be able to dominate because they could make everything themselves and be self sufficient.

Clans could camp the resource and artisan spots and fight with other clans over who controlled such spots.

It would truly be an inviting place for everybody.

i think a lot of these are terrible ideas. i LOVE to skill but not enough to risk all i have to do it. Also in doing all this how about adding some good training areas in safe zones for greens and red dragons, or some coal mines that would be closer to a bank than a 3-10 min walk. How about making skilling worth doing instead of making combat the soul purpose of the game. Lets all prey on lower levels and gather the resources they just worked their butts off to get! That sounds like a load of crap to me honestly. IF you would like to make the game revolve around combat go be the mods for EOC RS.

i wouldn't mind another version of stealing creations again i loved that minigame because i had the combat stats and skills but this isn't right for the wilderness... not being able to use master wands, mages books, dragon/infinity boots/dagannoth rings/godswords/ god wars armor.. abyssal whips... any top tier items at all... that would be so booring... no barrows gloves, capes... what the most top tier thing would only be rune... this would kill pking i honestly don't know if your suggestions is a giant troll or not

For some of that, you still have the pvp worlds. For other stuff, you can do drops from the boss monsters, so the top tier would not have to be rune.

Anybody not wanting to start from scratch would log in and out of the game while in the wild. That means a person might stay in the wild for a week while playing the game, logging in and out so as to not lose that rune armor or dragon long he had just bought off of another player in the wild.

Seems to me, like more people camping in the wild to keep their stuff is what you are asking for, does it not?
