At the moment it looks like the vote for trading through the trading post is going to miss out by a few %, which is a huge shame since the majority clearly want it...

Yes! Why is everyone voting no for that?
Everyone was rambling on about how much they want a GE or an easy trade solution and this is it. There is really no point in meeting the other player up because 15 seconds after the trade you forget the guy was even there. That isn't really what I call ''Player interaction''.

A lot of players I know keep players added that sell goods. I for one have about 5 sellers of goods such as logs/food and crafting supplies that have turned out to be friends. If you choose not to add players that you can trade with and have a mutual gain, then that is you, but adding in a system that depletes that for everyone seems a bit high-strung

If Jagex introduced 2 trading posts, 1 where items could be traded over it, and 1 where you had to go meet the seller to buy the item. I can almost guarantee that the post for meeting face to face would barely ever get used. Yet 28% or whatever voted against trading items over the trading post...

Wow, so far the poll results are so dissappointing... Whats the point in voting yes to question 1 and no to question 4? Do we really want mods to waste developing time on making an ingame ***** which is practically useless...

OMG yes!!! Finally someone with brains!!
+10000 I feel the same way. Your my hero :)

Number #1 can still be very efficient without the need of the #4 question. The Auction house would then work like the Buying/Selling forums on other sites but would be safer because it would not be located on a 3rd part site.

If this does happen Jagex would need to implement a system in which offers from people who are currently offline show that the player is not on so you, the player, would not spend time adding players who are offline.

I feel that #1 without #4 would be a very good thing and a compromise to both sides of this argument. It would offer a faster trading system then we have now (Think about having a Teleport to the Auction House where you could trade then when you leave the house it would take you to last known location) and it would be much safer then it is now- we wouldn't have to visit third party sites to find offers because it would all be done by Jagex.

This would keep the nostalgic aspect of trading players face to face in tact while adding a new school twist to the game for the ease of access without adding in the G.E. which many players despise

But who would travel to a trading post to search for an item, when they can just have another tab/window open with the ***** price guide and exchange?

I would an a lot of other players would - Offers on those 3rd party sites are often offline which is annoying for someone trying to buy + I wouldn't want to look a separate tab. This would allow players to know when someone is on

Because people are lazy. Most of the people voting for this got attached to the GE style semi-soloing runescape all together. This game was reintroduced as an older game for the more "nostalgic" player (says so on the front page). The old veterans liked it they way it was but are okay with adding some things that make the game better. But, as you can see from #4 question stalemate, some things just go to far and you will start to lose the nostalgic feel that this game has.

@OS Faustus True I have friends that I told I could selling items to them, but you don't get that often. One of the biggest problems is what if the player is AFK? What is he is not available? What if for some reason he isn't pming you back? If you could trade through the post you wouldn't have to worry about that.

I've played since 2006 (on my main) and would therefore consider myself a veteran, and I am all for a GE like system. Question number 4 is hardly a stalemate, a huge majority are voting yes.. the 75% thing is stupid in my opinion. People seem to forget that the GE was the most sociable place on RuneScape pre-eoc, and was definitely more sociable than going to w301 to buy items from a trading bot and then returning to training.
