One thing I've noticed about OSRS is that it seems to attract a somewhat older clientele, and a vastly more mature one than EOC. There are far fewer trolls on the forums, and far fewer flame wars in-game. It has been refreshing to witness.

I respect everyones opinion on matters such as these, and I respect Jagex even more for listening to their customers. Hats off to them for considering the desires of the players.

I say put the matter to a vote. I'm not one that will rage quit if it doesn't go my way, and I doubt many others will either. Those that do rage quit would likely as not rage quit on some other issue that doesn't go their way anyway. There's no way that everyone will be satisfied with the final disposition of the trading issue. So put it to a vote, and give it the solution wanted by the majority of players.

this is a simple fix to me

1. do you want the grand exchange
2. do you want a auction house platform
3. do you not want anything changed


take the most % of votes and move on to the next step of polling the details AND MAKE THE POLLS HAVE TO BE DONE BEFORE YOU LOG IN YOUR ACCOUNT AND PLAY!!!

Benefits of GE (my prospective)

1. Easier to get the items I need

2. Faster and less aggravating

3. Get quick cash needed to buy something I need quickly (selling something weird like 15 desert goat horns)

4. More interaction with other players. (people stood around at the GE and talked alot and more)

5. No boycotting certain people since all trades were hidden.

6. I could sell stuff for a price I wanted, if it didnt sell it didnt sell.

7. Items like Charcoal didnt cost 15k and I lol at everyone buying it for that much cause I keep some in my bank at all times.

8. Impossible to get scammed

9. No searching through 20 people to find someone

10. All MMOS have a central trade system (atleast the 6 that I have played) and the GE is byfar the most impressive I have ever seen.

11. OFFline trading allows people who play like me to get things when normal people sleep or work.

12. With the addition of F2P there is no more need for me to swich worlds to sell stuff F2P people might want.

13. No hoping worlds and teleporting all over the place to meet a person.

14. no more web browser open to check prices and or post trades


Cons....

No more selling dueling rings for 5k or charcoal for 15k

Please make it clear on the poll page itself next to the first question that:

This system is what we will offer first. If this system doesn’t achieve 75% approval, there will be no additional trading system added to the game.

As there will be misconceptions in the voting.

The poll is just stupid. Every question is getting way much more yes answers than no. It's probably cuz non native english speakers just are too lazy to actually read the question while thinking and just vote yes. I'd say that the first question would get way more no votes if people actually red the question.

everyones saying yes for the first question, than contradicting themselves by saying yes to the second question, people need to learn how to read before answering.

There is no contradiction. Question 2 only matters if question 1 passes.

Players have more or less vote yes to having a trading post, in question 1, but question 4 is contradicting the part of question 1 about trading through the existing system.


People are voting yes to Q1 because if that doesn't pass then there will be NO trading solution at all. It's really the only question that matters cause if it don't pass then none of the others will be implemented regardless of their 75%+ votes.

I'm kind of confused as it looks like more people are voting "No" to Q1 and then "Yes" to all the rest... *Sigh*
