When they said RS Old School was going to be exactly like it was in 2007 I didn't realize it meant they would continue developing it from that point as if it were really beginning over from 2007.

At this point the development may as well be sprung forward to when RS became HD and the Grand Exchange was introduced.

Original message details are unavailable.
i will probally vote no against this system

there should be have a vote for grand ex first...this is a copy of the zyb one , we already have **b so yeah.

lets be poll for grand ex first , then if we want a trade system like this

personally i don't even care to who i sell or from who im buying stuff.

many people "add" and then they forget to remove you , they believe then ur friends and friendlist is getting full , when people change their names i don't even know if its a friend or just someone i forgot to remove after i added him to sell/buy stuff.

so please make a grand ex poll first because you don't know if it will get 75% or not. ive heard on many rs streams there is no poll yet because you "think" it won't make it , test it out first pls.

Please read the dev blog. If this gets voted no, there will be no further polls on the trade issue. Just vote yes to everything and it'll basically be the grand exchange.

Dear Mod'*

As i browse through all the comments and opinions and try to think of a neutral ground point to help solve this problem i recalled how much time ive personally spent trying to trade without the Grand Exchange......and its a MASSIVE xp/time comsumer, even using thrid party web sites as helper tools. Runescape will always be split on issues of this importance and value to its community. So i started looking at this issue at a diferent point of view....we need to not only fix the trade issue's we also need to foccus on improving runescape 07 to keep bringing new players to the experience we all enjoy. and as many people have stated in comments the grand exchange was a hotspot for player communication, skilling and all around dancing :P and most players will agree with me that buying items should be a painless process that will not consume a massive amount of time and headache from spam. The auction house honestly seems like more work than what its worth, in my eyes....it wont fix anything and not save much time for players. So im set on a Grand Exchange with a few tweeks to prevent the flaws of damaging the economy to dramastically (no matter what guys if some kind of trade system gets put into the game IT'S GOING TO CHANGE PRICES!) It is simple search for what you want buy it and continue back to having fun, the community will only benifit from a commen place to gather....and heck spice it up add a few cool table games to sit down at and play a random person....make the new Grand Exchange the place to be... add a drop party chest keep it interesting that keeps the community strong......i dont have all the answers on how to manage the GE to prevent an american economy crash....(jokes right =p ) but this should be a step forward not a step back and i truly think speed is how trading should be done not waves of spam and massive headaches the AH just looks like a thrid party website platform not an upgrade

thank you so much jagex team! 07 FTW!!!

sorry if anyone said stuff like what i'm about to say, and for the careless grammar, but i'm not going to read through 51+ pages... so i'll say everything i think regardless if someone else said it.

I would rather not have something like the grand exchange, even if trading is a pain, mostly because it inspires me to actually train to get what i want (not like i have good stats anyways). and also there is no real challenge to the game after being able to buy everything you ever need really easily, yes that sounds stupid so please don't point it out too much.

now, i would rather the offers to not display for too long a time (deffinately not longer than 5 hours) after logging. If you let the offer stay up after the person logged out and you have to trade in person, i would like to know what time the offer was posted so i can try to stay on until that time, however if the trading can be done on the solution then i would prefer that you would be able to buy in partial amounts* of the offer.

*you should make it so that the seller can set a minimum quantity to buy it at. (some people prefer you buy a certain amount, I honestly don't care if its a minimum of a certain amount as long as i sell it all)

and yes you should be able to post buy offers.

that is all i can think of right now for the solution, so goodbye! :)

Second, this debate is going far beyond it's intended goal, and the fact that the community is so split on this issue is an even further delay. The point of the matter is to create a system to make trading for players easier, reduce spam and include an area for people to relax from playing the game. In doing so, you bring a healthy amount of players into a common area, stimulating interaction among players and hopefully encouraging friendships and a tighter community, something that has been lacking in Runescape for the past 5 years.

As for the Grand Exchange (our current version), it has been too easily corrupted and disfigured the economy of the game, which is something that 07 should avoid. How do we avoid this? Simple: introduce a trading system that ONLY allows buying and selling within the standardized pricing range. For example, if I have 50k nature runes, and they cost 200gp, they can only be sold on the system for 200gp. Nothing more, nothing less. If there is a price increase, there should be a set department in Jagex for economic management apart from the rest of the game solely focusing on item value and devalue.

The alternative to this is either a posting system (which in other games rarely works) or no updated system of training whatsoever, and we are stuck with Western Varrock a conglomerated mess of colored and waving words, which is highly unappealing to new players.

At the least, there needs to be an area manufactured in the game to be designated solely for trading. The spot where the Grand Exchange is in RS3 is a perfect spot. I'd love to hear feedback from other players about my proposal.
