I am not sure how many others have played WoW but, face to face trading is just as strong as AH trading. Why not just make a system like theirs, that is why there needs to be a tax on selling stuff, so large bulk and expensive items get sold face to face instead, or at a higher price on the ah for "convenience." There is a lot of debate over something another game has done perfectly, so why not just "copy" it in a way. People are throwing away common sense in place of some fake nostalgia, this is the way "rs3" should have went w/o the EOC part. Jagex did something wrong along the way to go from 200k people online to a mere 1/4th of that now. "Old School" should be the game being advertised to bring new people into this style of play, because rs3 will lose to WoW, LOTRO, and several others all day every day because it has the same style of play. Rs2 on the other hand had a unique style, no other game had, which made it in a class of its own, plain and simple. He's living on the inside roaring like a

Is RS2 had a unique style which made it in a class of its own, plain and simple, why does it need to "copy" WoW in a way? You don't know what Jagex did wrong? They removed free trade and the wilderness and provided the Grand Exchange as a substitute. Such a substitute is not currently needed, as the game isn't in a state of ruin. To provide such a substitute when one isn't needed would put the game in a state of ruin, which the GE helped to accelerate back in the day.

I just don't think the people are truly thinking about what they are saying, either that or most people "voting" started playing the game after the g.e first came in.

A massive part of playing Runescape for me was the adventure, finding my own things, getting levels so I could make new things or gather materials to make things. Isn't that what Runescape is, an adventure game?
The g.e made so many skills completely pointless, it made most of the gathering skills pointless because lets face it woodcutting and fishing is seriously not worth your time to make money when merching on the g.e was 100 times faster, easier and you pretty much did most of it offline waiting for things to happen.

If anyone here remembers World 2 Fally you will understand what I mean by the atmosphere there, it was electric. absolutely unreal that so many people had created this marketplace that everyone understood. For me W2 Fally formed the most important part of the game. But the g.e destroyed it.

Please guys, don't let them make old school runescape just lilke the new runescape but with old graphics. Please.

i will probally vote no against this system

there should be have a vote for grand ex first...this is a copy of the zyb one , we already have **b so yeah.

lets be poll for grand ex first , then if we want a trade system like this

personally i don't even care to who i sell or from who im buying stuff.

many people "add" and then they forget to remove you , they believe then ur friends and friendlist is getting full , when people change their names i don't even know if its a friend or just someone i forgot to remove after i added him to sell/buy stuff.

so please make a grand ex poll first because you don't know if it will get 75% or not. ive heard on many rs streams there is no poll yet because you "think" it won't make it , test it out first pls.

Here's a question I want answered. Do you guys actually enjoy what you have in front of you considering that trade is already made easy by a certain third party website?

That website isn't necessarily to make trading easy. It is the compromise needed for the lack of playerbase. The website simply makes trading POSSIBLE. Especially to us later GMTs.

Yeah but would you rather spend the time standing around in Varrock or wherever to find a good deal or would you depend on a third party website for all of your trades?

Just because some people don't use it doesn't mean trading isn't possible. Before the G.E. people depended on the forums for their trades, but with the player base being low, they feel the usage of a third party website is their only means of getting trade done quickly and easily.
