To summarize my question answers.
Sellers side:
Player puts up post on the trade station. Player is given option to choose between an instant (taxed) trade or a trade which incurs no tax, but he has to organize a meet up. Player can then choose to advertise the trade while he is offline which makes the trade instant, taxes the seller but does not tax the buyer. If he does not choose this option the advertisement for his post is taken down when he logs off.

Buyers side:
Buyer views posts by sellers. Buyer can view the sellers offline/online status. Buyer puts an offer up for the items. If the seller is offline and chose to tax himself the player receives items instantly and pays the price the seller set. If the seller is online and the buyer is too lazy to meet the seller the buyer will then be taxed and the seller will not. If the buyer wants to meet and the seller wants to meet, no tax will be incurred and the trade will be set up like it currently occurs in the game.

This provides an in-game trade facilitator, but also penalizes lazy buyers/sellers.

I agree, I think the way Mod Mat K explains it the right solution. The community should decide how the trading system should work. Personally as "old veteran player" and many others we are “against” the new trading system. The old traditional way face-to-face trading act is still preferable to me. In my opinion do not need any trading systems, simple enough that they were not present in our era.
But to keep it as fair as possible, I would definitely rely on the votes exactly what the player chooses.

i heard someone say that nothing will pass unless we get 75% of the votes to be yes we want a trading system or grand exchange......hope thats not true! =( its simple really either you use the trading system or you do it how you do it now face to face with somebody the trading system is just gonna help people who dont wanna stand around for hours trying to get somebody to buy there junk! just stick in the grand exchange/trading system and go on about your business! how can that be so awful to some people? not to mention getting ripped off because the prices of things are so durastic from player to player! we have to have some kind of trading system! just bring back the grand exchange! i know everybody hate's hearing that but it would be for the best!

Question: Should we introduce a trading post where you can post trade offers which will be visible to everyone? Offers will only appear when the seller is online and you will need to trade through the existing trading system.

Yes, however there should also be a browse option, naturally. I'm sure you've implemented a browse/search option, but that would be a must-have for any form of trading system.

Question: If we introduce the trading post, should players’ trade offers be visible when they are offline?

I say if they are offline, the auction house should say so. If they put it on the auction house, and then log off for the next day, then it should not.

Question: If players' trades are visible when they are offline, should they be visible for more than 6 hours?

I would say yes, up to an hour or two, but no more. People sometimes take lunch breaks or do whatever, and to have to leave your slayer task or fishing trip to go put up a new auction would be horribly annoying. Not to mention world hopping.

Question: If we introduce the trading post should players be able trade items through it rather than having to meet up to trade through the existing trade system?

No. Face-to-face trading is what makes this game the way it is. DON'T ELIMINATE PLAYER INTERACTION.

Question: If we introduce a trading post through which you are able to buy items, should you be able to buy only part of a sellers offer if you want? For example, if the seller is selling 1,000 of an item, you can buy only 100 if you wish.

Yes and no. I have two solutions to this:
-Have a toggle option, where a buyer MUST buy all or they can buy as many as they wish, and have the auction house list update automatically.
-Have a comments section next to the listing, where the seller can list details (location, world, increments, etc.) about the sale

WILL FINISH IN NEXT POST

The system that we have now with ***ez already works pretty well and still gives us the player interaction that we want. If we could have a system that is in game and much the same as ***ez it would be so the best of both worlds to people that don't want the auction house and the people that want something like a grand exchange. Also, if it was in game it would be available to all players and more well known whereas the problem with using a different site is that its not known by all players. Maybe if we had something that was just a place that we could post these buy/sell offers.

i think that if we introduce the auction house to 07 it will destroy many money making methods such as good old fashion merchanting(back to flipping) and even skilling for money. It might sound dumb to say that we wont be able to make money from skilling but the prices of resource items will diminish very quickly.

Question: If we introduce a trading post through which you are able to buy items, should you be able to add buy offers for items and let the trading post find the best match for you?

Yes, but not like the grand exchange where it will auto-pair and then make the trade. A notification should be sent to both players, maybe a recurring one that occurs every minute or so for 5 minutes, and the seller/buyer should be added to the buyer's/seller's friends list automatically.

Question: If we introduce a trading post that matches offers for you, should your buy offers be visible when you are offline

No. This is corresponding to the previous offline-sales question.
