The robes will require level 75 Magic & Defence to equip and are slightly more powerful than Ahrim's robes. They also have the advantage of not being degradable.
So Ahrim's robes will then be almost literally useless compared to these new robes. Who on earth only gets their magic up to 70? Since when did Barrows pures ever use Ahrim's? This is straight-up power creep; let's not follow the same slippery slope that ruined RS3.
The dragon sword requires level 60 Attack to equip. It attacks at the same rate as a scimitar and provides the following bonuses:
What's the point of this weapon? It brings literally nothing new to the table. Don't waste the opportunity for this weapon on something as boring as this. For the love of god, save it for a future quest of some kind, and let the idea sit in the oven a bit more first.
Dragon throwing axes provide +32 Ranged attack and strength. The special attack of the axes freezes the target for 5 seconds and costs 30% special attack energy.
Another freezing attack? With only 30% spec use? Dear lord, have you not heard the vitriol over the dragon spear? I know there's a difference between freeze and stun, but 30% spec is ridiculous. If this didn't need to be in the game beforehand, don't add it for the sake of poorly balanced equipment diversity.
For some Old School players the dragon chainbody, however nostalgic it may be, just doesn't cut it. We see regular requests for the dragon platebody and we feel that raids will be a fitting piece of content to bring it into Old School.
I miss the days when new content would actually come into the game through quests. Zulrah, Skotizo, Cerberus, Thermonuclear Smoke Devil, Corporeal Beast, Abyssal Sire, Kraken, all without quests. Do you all seriously not remember how well received Monkey Madness 2 was? Stop adding new equipment willynilly with close to no prerequisites. If I only wanted a loot grind I'd play a different game.
