Everything is polled by the players, and if more then 3/4 of the players want it isn't even clear enough it is a good update? You said it yourself "We dictate the rules".

As far as I can see, polling is us dictating the rules. Nothing has been put into the game that hasn't past a poll.

If you don't like this 07Scape, I would advise you to play on a private server.

I'm really not loving the Zenyte's passive idea, as it'll devalue Guthans and would essentially be soulsplit without the draining of prayer points. Shall be voting yes to everything else though c:



P.S. Did you really have to give one of my least favourite quests a sequel? xD Add meeting history please, that quest was ace ;)

What is the point of a Monkey Madness II quest without rewards? It seems the community is selfish to not allow the new jewelry into the game.

Jagex take your game back and pass the reasonable updates. I am steamed that these updates are not passing poll. No niche boosting jewelry; looks like raids are gonna be barren.

Don't get me wrong a fix here and there WHERE BROKEN is adequate enough.

This is De-Ja-Vu. Mark my words guys, OSRS won't be Old school for much longer. Hopefully I'm gone again before this happens.

You do realize the player base of OSRS themselves suggest and vote for this updates, right? And that atleast 75% of the people voting wanted this updates.

and if you play in tournament worlds it shows melee being weaker and mage/range being a lot stronger while almost being tied (got to take into account they can farcast) and making them stronger just helps them overpower melee at a distance


What a melee prod..

A few things:

Melee has the highest dps at max levels in PvP (debatable, but if not then it comes pretty damn close), the best variety of equipment, the best prayers, the most reliable KO potential, the ability to use most gear without any penalties, the most updates, etc.

Mages have its advantages-and they're quite noticeable, but you have to be a idiot if you think it's overpowered. As a mage tank, meleers have a good chance against me, but I still have the advantage against them and rangers have an advantage against me. The combat styles are balanced, with the sole exception of the AGS which is melee.

Melee is not meant to be overpowered and it never was meant to be. In the actual oldschool era, mages still stood a very good chance and still had the advantage against melee. In fact, during then they had actual KO potential as the spellstacking technique worked reliably.

No combat skill is meant to be overpowered, they're meant to be balanced.


Mages on the tournament worlds are running around with arcanes while most of the meleers are in..well, melee gear, so of course the mages are going to be quite powerfu against them. That's the combat triangle at work genius. Things would be a hell of a lot different if the meleers were in something like karils instead.

Believe magic to only be for support? Think again. It's just as valid of a Pking style as melee and range is.

Please devs,
It has been noted in the past that our opinions, as players, will not stop what you see best for the game. The quest is a amazing idea, but not the rewards.

Ballista will not be used hardly at all. The new jewelry is junk in my opinion. I'd rather see Zulrah's drop table altered than see a new item that consumes another item, it is just annoying.

To end my negativity i follow with suggestions.

Make mm2 quest reward a Crystal Scimitar. It would require completion of Roving Elves to equip, it would also open up a story line for more quests to be had in the future. About how the monkey's and elves get along. I mean they are both agile creatures and all.... AGILITY REWARDS

Lastly I end with a request, can we please finish the unfinished quest lines in osrs? These quests have a ending in rs3, why not here? Change up the rewards to give them a osrs feel. I can't count how many people would like to see elemental workshop 3, 4, 5. Fairy tale part 3. I don't need to mention all of them for you to understand.

And now let the hate spam begin.

We won't know this until the stats are mentioned. It's intended purpose is a slow, but hard hitting weapon to use for KO potential in PvP-which rangers are in need of as darkbow is rubbish and d bolts can be completely countered.

SUGGESTIONS FOR MM2

I believe the following suggestions contain good hints at what ideal rewards could be.


- Make a jungle demon boss that players can kill upon completion of MM2.

- One reward of the quest should be immunity to undead skeleton monkeys (underground) even without a money greegr**.

- A new secret shortcut to undead skeletal monkeys to train range on (chinchompas)

- Ability to buy more items from shops around Ape Atol.

- New jewelry that is only effective on Ape Atol (players will use it to train range with chinchompas or to train str on gorrillas). This will not make other items crash.

- Additional shortcuts in the underground tunnel to get to zooknock a lot faster

- Zooknock should grant us some new ability (not sure but there's potential here)

- New bank in Ape Atol

- New agility shortcut for better xp in the agility course, along with not needing to be a monkey while training agility there.

- Daero gives even more exp to combat stats or even agility exp (a lot of it!).


Please quote this post if you like the ideas here, and feel free to add to it. My aim was to re-enliven Ape Atol and the awesome things it has become known and attractive for.
