Truth must be spoken and people got to stand up for what is right and by right i mean what we gathered all to do is play oldschool runescape!
all this new content is unnecessary and if jagex pushing new rubbish updates to the game atleast stop pretending its an oldschool runescape then, seriously!
PEOPLE YOU GOT TO WAKE UP FROM WHATEVER YOU ARE CONSUMED TO OR ELSE OLDSCHOOL RUNESCAPE JUST LIKE RS2 WILL BE GONE AGAIN!

Firstly I'm excited that we are once again seeing progress in regards to this quest. We all enjoy the nostalgia of playing content that was trademark for the development of Runescape and I can't wait for some of this to be extended in great osrs style.

I know there will be a lot of debate about the specs of proffered rewards for this quest. However looking at it I think you have thought out and balanced the zenyte jewelry charge well. 5% heal on every 1 in 10 attacks averages out nicely and not too op... After all the one time in ten the heal activates may not be the time you hit 50+ damage. 10,000 charges also seems reasonable for the current cost of an onyx gem.

Looking forward to the votes and ofcourse the final content release too! I just hope that people will make an informed vote on the rewards rather than voting no for fear of "Breaking" the game.

Also on a side note, I agree with many others. This is a grand master quest you are proposing. I don't think that it should be made available to pures. People make pures for specific reasons and do so knowing that they may not be able to access some content. The value of a grandmaster quest should not be lowered just to make life easy for pures. They make that choice when making such an account.

Hi Mods and development team,

I am beyond thrilled you've finally announced a new quest that will be a real challenge and follow the Old School RuneScape lore we have, but there are some issues I'd like to address.

First off, this is going to be OSRS' first Grandmaster Quest and you want to make the reward usable by anyone??? I strongly disagree with that and hope you reconsider. That will take the drive away from many players since they have more money than they know what to do with and they will buy a Ballista, and that's only if it's comparable to some of the already available range gear. Make completing the quest a requirement for the Ballista and really consider how you could differentiate it.

Next, this should only be available to those who have accepted Daero's experience. Some content demands requirements and you shouldn't cater to a specific build. Many 1 Def builds focus on PvP as their primary aspect after completing X amount of in-game content. As you know, people who have main accounts will usually raise all skills, and in turn, are able to access all content. Going back to the point of it being the first Grandmaster Quest, you should be testing the playerbase's ability; maybe in the quest at some point you need to wear a certain piece of equipment that has a requirement of 20, 40, or 60 defense to wield? So be it! And I say that as a Zerker. [I've grinded for Barrow's Gloves and it's a satisfying reward but I know my 45 defense places some limitations.]

And lastly and this is important, WE DO NOT NEED BIS ITEMS! The ONE piece that holds some weight and could be useful is the Necklace of Anguish only because rangers could use an amulet like that. The other jewellery, as others noted, is pretty much a reimagination of the RS3 content. Please do not isolate our already existing items.

To all those that are complaining about the reward for this quest being usable by anyone. If you will recall While Guthix Sleeps was one of the first Grandmaster Quests in the real Old School Runescape. In that you unlocked the potential to kill Tormented Demons that dropped Dragon Claws. Dragon Claws were useable by anyone. This in no way stopped people from wanting to complete the quest. It motivated a lot of people actually as it gave the chance to be a very lucrative money maker if you had the ability to kill the TD's.

So far no information has been released about the quest except the rewards. I'm sure to get zenyte shards you will have to kill some reasonably difficult monster and that the zenyte shards will probably sell for a decent amount. Making it a similar situation.

Can we instead get a Dark Short bow?

This would be lvl 60 just like the d bow. It would only shoot 1 arrow at a time like MSB but with slightly higher damage.

The spec can be like MSb but with a modifier similar to using dragon arrows. The spec can shoot 2 rapid dragon heads, capable of hitting 40-40? Sound good?

yeah im questioning both....

even if you cap the damage
osrs has a voider problem.... with ranged

and as for mage well....i like idea that they do risk...pretty much gives no real setup to take them down so they get a amulet that gives 10% a staff that gives 15% and if this passes a bracelet giving another 5% all pretty much best in slot totaling 30% damage boost

and all and all mages are kind of overpowered

would be nice if we could test out said polled gear in tournament worlds before we actually vote on items (and say keep how we would get them a mystery)

but all and all spirit of a actual old school runescape.... melee is the combat skill that is meant to be overpowered

and if you play in tournament worlds it shows melee being weaker and mage/range being a lot stronger while almost being tied (got to take into account they can farcast) and making them stronger just helps them overpower melee at a distance

Are you serious? You complain about the range/ mage amulets they propose even though they aren't even good. Why is melee meant to be overpowered. People like you make no sense
