For all of the pures saying to make this available to them. This is a grandmaster quest and as such should have high requirements. I dont believe pures should be able to do this quest in my opinion, especially with the gear being tradable and equippable without doing the quest. I mean hell, if you think pures should be able to do it with 1 defence, why not just make it available to a level 3 character with all level 1 stats. If you have a main, you will still be able to reap the benefits.

A Grandmaster quest that is a sequel to one of the most spectacular quests in Runescape and the reward is a medium-tier balista that no one will use because the majority of whom that complete the quest will more than likely have an expert range level...

Very disappointed. Aside from the propsed new jewellry content, the reward should be a single iconic item (NOT a medium-tier balista), preferably a high-tier melee weapon.

Looking good overall,

Amulet of torture... not sure its necessary to give new best in slot ammy for mele.....

The bracelet for mage.... Mage needs updates, happy to see this bracelet would rather have it than not. But seriously is the only way we can buff mage by giving equipment that makes mage hit by a higher %?

I mean occult necklace, ok great a needed update... but now a bracelet that just boosts mage by a set percent? seems pretty boring and i would like to see other options like special attack weapons or something to boost mage.

I see this trend of equipment giving mage a damage % boost doing what void range has done for range equipment... holding it back range has gotten scant and limited superficial updates (msb imbued aka deadcontent magic bow upgrade) due to the zerkers that get destroyed by void range accounts(equipment that simply boosts damage by a set%)

so once we have this new mage bracelet 5%mage damage boost
occult necklace further magic damage% boost
Staff of the dead damage %boost
and the jad 2 mage cape anticipated best in slot mage cape that will eventually be offered,
Mage will be unable to be updated at all since it will be **

DONT CATER TO PURES - this quest/ this content in general should not be available to pures

DAMAGE MULTIPLICATION EFFECTS SHOULD BE RESERVED FOR PRAYERS

Giving void range a damage multiplication effect was a grand mistake and has severely limited and held back the diversification of ranged weapons and equipment

The path that magic updates has been going down is going to end up having the same effect void range has had on ranged equipment.

The only mele contect that i can think of right now that has this sort of effect is some necklace melescapers people use when bugabusing safespotting Vetion.

Other than this niche item mele does not really have any equipment that just increased mele damage by X%.

Looking good I will vote yes on Everythng

HAHAHA I just read this post and actually laughed. yeah range desperately needs viable weapons for pvp, so does magic. BUT what you thing this update SHOULD have is "preferably a high-tier mele weapon" hahahahhaha *cough abyssal dagger*, *cough abyssal bludgeon*,*cough dragon warhammer* cough all recently but we need more mele scape weapons

honestly though i really don't find this funny rather sad don't even know where to begin criticizing this suggestion

Hi Kieren,

I am slightly confused about the rewards being usable by those who haven't completed the quest. Currently, the quest appears to have no actual item rewards as they may just be bought easily from other players. Meaning the new reward content is no more than another money generating exercise for those that are willing to complete the quest. Part of what made Money Madness so great and rewarding was to be able to use the Dragon Scimitar, If it was readily available to all I doubt Monkey Madness would be so popular. The Quest was hard but worth the Dragon Scimitar it wasn't really worth it for the ability to get them as drops etc if you could just buy them without interacting with the content at all. I only started questing in the first place to chase these kinds of rewards, from there started enjoying it in its own right. I feel others may have a similar attitude to questing.

I love everything the old school team is doing and has done, I'm just cautious for new content to be implemented in the right way so it might stand the test of time.

Thanks!

Rewards:

1. Ballista weapons

Light ballistas would require 30 Ranged to equip and heavy would require 65 Ranged to equip. Ballistas will not require the completion of Monkey Madness II to use.

This makes me very sad.
More handouts.

2. Zenyte jewellery

Charged zenyte jewellery would provide a passive healing effect. If you have a charged piece of zenyte jewellery equipped you will have a 10% chance of healing 5% of the damage you deal. This effect lasts for 10,000 successful hits. Once 10,000 hits have been dealt, the zenyte jewellery returns to its uncharged state and would require another onyx to become charged once more.

For the cost of the charge, this should be a 100% chance. As a result of the change to guaranteed healing, it should be reduced to 3% of the damage dealt.

This is a no-brainer.

The current design will end up with almost noone charging their gear, except the super rich.
And even then, the cost vs reward is a terribly low ratio and hardly worth doing.

Zenyte shards and jewellery are both tradeable and usable by players who have not completed Monkey Madness II.

This makes me very sad.
More handouts.

3. Access for pures

One question that many players would like answering is whether or not pures will be able to complete Monkey Madness II. In order to answer this question, we will be polling allowing pures access to Ape Atoll without having to go through Daero's training as a part of the Monkey Madness II poll.

Whatever happened to:
If you choose to limit yourself, there is nothing we can do to fix the game to fit your play-style. You choose not to gain experience in certain skills, therefore, some parts of the game content will not be accessable to you. We will not cater to specialized builds in the game.

Double standards are not good you know.

It all looks good but I'm not sure how I feel about the amulet which gives offensive stats. Ags is already silly but eh. I'll probably vote yes for new content.

If the jewelry does not have charges, will its stats decrease? Or is that purely for the HP part.
