There are ALREADY players finding ways to access this world, before you have even officially released the update. If these hidden worlds are THAT easy to get to, then I hate to admit it to you Mat K, but this solution to botting definitely will not work.

EDIT: JMOD stated on another thread that these worlds were never meant to be hidden or inaccessible. Guess we'll just see how they're meant to work tomorrow.

I'm going to take a wild guess and assume the ID's of resources and whatnot are being randomized in these "Special worlds"? So that bot that was fishing lobster can no longer find any and this causes it to instantly bugging out as it cannot find any and such would be the telltale sign?

I believe the solution would be to implement a simple solution to detect when you have been swapped worlds and to just instantly log out and not log in for a set amount of time.

What is there to combat this?

What happens if a truly innocent player gets banned for "botting" through this system? I know a lot of players like to afk to watch a video or do homework or something while fishing, as an example. Explain this please? (I don't afk, just wondering)

I'd just like to add my 2 cents this idea won't work well and I can see legit players being banned as well as legit players getting annoyed as well as legit players taking advantage of a bad situation.


The solution to the bot problem is easy every hour or 2 hours or 3 hours players should be required to type in a captcha...

it's not hard^ just try it ^ then do it...

Truth is jagex doesn't want to get rid of bots or they would just do it...bots =$$$ membership money and old school membership without bots is cut in half...

So don't let them full you by them acting like there doing something when really it's just a simple smoke screen as it has been with this game for many years.

$$$ money is more important then players= jagex logic.

you can see this throughout the runescape history since ownership has changed.
