Sounds cool. I personally was banned twice while I was training hunter in old school, second time I got banned I was actually trying to crash a bot and steal his traps when I got hit off and received almost a week ban. I'm really glad you're finally doing something to prevent legitimate players getting banned.

Guys, it's not going to be the case that all bots will suddenly disappear. We'll be rolling the system out slowly across Gielinor, checking everything as we do so. Once it is all up and running I hope you see a significant difference. Please do keep us informed about how you are finding things.

What exactly do you need from us? Do we need to tell you what is being botted? I got a whole list, if that's what you mean.

Keep reporting the bots you see in game (not on worlds 85 and 86). We can then build up a heat map of your reports and get an idea for how things are going. Also, the occassional bit of feedback on the forums is a good thing too.

My fear is that if we remove all the bots, the number of players will be reduce to a non profitable amount for Jagex and OSRS will be shut down. I mean, even though they are bots, aren't they still having to pay to be on the servers. Seems like a financial hit Jagex may not truly want to take and I would rather have the bots then no OSRS game option.

Not really, bots use bonds now, not nearly as profitable for Jagex as straight up membership.

If I am not mistaking, bonds cost as much rl money as membership does... therefore every bond means exactly the same profit for jagex. It wouldn´t work otherwise.
On topic, while it is true that bots memberships are a major income, the long time loss is bigger because botting destroys the economy and frustrates players, resulting in more people quitting.

You don't have to worry about that, oldschool still has a player base that is increasing. Also, jagex profitted over 70 million last year so you can have faith in it that oldschool is here to stay.

Not true, 1 bond = 5$ = 14 days of membership, so 2 bonds = 10$ = 28 days of membership. for $9.95 I can buy a 35 day membership at walmart, or for *7.95 I can buy 1 month of recurring subscription. Bonds are definitely better than buying membership from Jagex.

Just logged in to say I just got teleported to w385 after cutting 5 yew logs (Which are also the first yew logs I have cut on osrs) whilst talking to a friend who was stood right behind me as I was making a few yew shortbows for him.

So yeah guys, be careful, cutting yews automatically makes you a bot now apparently, even if you've only ever done it for 30 seconds.

Do you mean the same heatmap that the players already built up for your fictitious botwatch implementation?

Do me a favour,if you don't know where the bots are by now there's something seriously wrong.I'll give you a hint, the same places are being botted that were being botted 10 years ago.ALL RESCOURCES....
