Great update and all but please clarify on what you mean by "If you find yourself in a strange world that you do not expect to be in, simply log out and log into the world you want to be in."

Strange in what way, and how often could this occur?

A world with a different number to the one that you think you should be in.

Ohh ok, will number be like our normal worlds, or some random numbers?

Yep, they'll be normal world numbers.

A strange question. but can you not have 1 of those new worlds have all the graphics and such be that of osrs but running rs3 engine so when there the rs3 engine kicks in? I know there is a huge graphics difference as well as a more complicated game engine in rs3 then there is in osrs. I know you understand we do not want a lot of what is rs3 in our osrs gaming. But seeing as how these hidden worlds are technically not osrs to begin with and only serve to catch bots would it really then not be osrs? As its not osrs any way? Just a thought.

It's certainly an interesting idea. Will be interesting to see how everything works once all is in place.

I was a bit concerned at first when I read that some normal players could be picked up, but as long as they can still be picked out as normal players and won't be banned then I think all is well on that front. Think I'll be ok on not getting captured; I'm probably one of the most inefficient players out there! :P

Thanks for taking the time to reply to all concerns as well, Mat. :)

Currently I notice that bots that are doing multi skills (such as blast furnace) seem to be slipping thru the cracks some how and no matter how many times I report them they are still in high scores (I have reported 3 people over the course of 6 months multiple times) not knowing how your anti bot system works, how will it affect these bots if they are already not being caught? (refer to page 3-10 of high scores in smithing)

Second,
EDIT: doesn't sound like it would work as bots can program themselves to leave that world like a normal player?

They can do that, but then they'll just be sent back again. If a bot wants to spend all it's time hopping worlds...

Hopping got ruined with the last poll, so the bots wont care about the 2 second hop time I think :o

Mod Mat K,

First, I want to congratulate you again on how interactive you are with Oldschool players. I really love that.

Secondly, I also want to express how pleased I am to hear that more bot systems are coming to the game, and I really hope they are effective and only botters get banned.

Lastly, I want to ask if there are detection systems to identify the bots that buy out resources like Nature Runes/Other Runes/Ores from NPC shops, and then hop.

Sometimes I buy resources myself and hop to get more, and often I'm competing with bots - I just wonder if your team is able to differentiate between someone like myself and a bot? And.... are they able to identify this type of bot?

Keep up the great work!

So the basic gist of this idea is that you have some good methods for detecting bots, but because they'd probably get in the way of normal gameplay you're only applying these on a set of hidden worlds that you'll send suspected bots to so as not to annoy legitimate players?

If I understood that right, that seems like a great idea. It just remains to be seen how effective these hidden worlds are at detecting bots and how often legitimate players are grabbed by this system.

When can we expect this to go live?
