That shouldn't happen as a player reacts differently to a bot when they have found out they have changed worlds. If a player is playing with friends I can't see them being moved in the first place. But, you are right it may happen in which case we will look at the heuristics we are using and adapt them to make sure it stops happening.

Sadly, as mentioned in the dev blog we wouldn't be able to fully integrate RS3s anti bot systems without significantly changing the game, and you guys won't want us to do that.
What changes is this? because I didn't see much changes regarding RS3's bot detection once Jacmob started working there, except bottany bay which I think people will be glad to have if that's the only change (even then that was just basically a cosmetic update with no huge changes) and the rest appeared to be BTS.

I guess I shouldn't really slate it until I see it in action, but I just can't see how this is going to help a whole lot. From what I've read it's basically just a cosmetic change to free up some spots and give us the feel that there's less bots, but the reality is that they're just on a different world (assuming they don't hop back). In the end I'm sure it will LOOK like there are less bots to legit players, but the botting problem is still there and they are still able to login the normal worlds so it's not really gonna change that much.

Second,
EDIT: doesn't sound like it would work as bots can program themselves to leave that world like a normal player?

They can do that, but then they'll just be sent back again. If a bot wants to spend all it's time hopping worlds...
But you said some legit people may be sent to these worlds, wouldn't the same happen to them, and if they want to skill with their friends or whatever they would spend all their time hopping worlds too?

Disappointed it's not the same bot detection as RS3 if I'm honest, all I can really see this do is annoy legit players more than anything.

What exactly would have to be changed, to fully integrate RS3s anti bot system?

Can we have details, or is it a secret? Perhaps we'd be ok with it if it had a very high success rate?

Could we get botany bay or something similar to osrs where you can throw tomatoes at bots who are about to get banned? :P

I can think of many more things I'd rather do to bots than throw tomatoes at them.

I think a pit like on the movie 300 would be cool and we could make a npc called geuarard butter who says "this is runescape" and kicks them into the pit as they are being banned!

Great update and all but please clarify on what you mean by "If you find yourself in a strange world that you do not expect to be in, simply log out and log into the world you want to be in."

Strange in what way, and how often could this occur?

We have gone down the route of adapting the current RS3 system to work in old school as much as we can at this stage. Adding more systems would mean changing how the game engine work, how the game plays etc. I can't give out the exact details because I don't want to give away information about how these system work for RS3, but Jacmob has been great in delivering the anti bot technology so far.

This change is one we have never tried before I would hope that some of you are a bit nervous about it. It is a big deal and I know how much you guys love Old School. We have an interesting few weeks ahead of us to see how this works, but the initial tests look really promising.

A world with a different number to the one that you think you should be in.
