I personally find this quite good, if you have a team of 3, the richest person can buy the shards, and combine the item right after the trip, that way each of the people dont have to sell/buy the shards.
As for coin share, saw someone mentioning it, coin share was removed in rs3 because it was a huge gp income to the game, how coin share worked was if you received an item it would split its value and then put the item in GE for said value, which was mid GE value, as we see now, a lot of items aren't exactly GE value, so if armadyl godsword is crashing, and you get the hilt at 53.2m, and it puts it in ge, and the godsword crashes to 48m, the money never leaves the game.
As for the "ruins clan community" i understand that clans will suffer from this, but even if you're in a clan, theres no guarantee you will get a split, I dont want to rely on the dignity and honor of other people to receive what i earned, i understand that these "scams" dont happen often, but when they do, it might prove to be very frustrating. Theres great examples of people being scammed by their good friend, that they've had for years, for simply gp. So yes, i understand where you're coming from, but clans aren't really the fix for trust issues.
And Lootshare, meh, if your bank is somewhat decent, you probably can afford to keep going for a few days, but when it comes to bosses like corp, it takes quite a bit of supplies to get a good drop, which would cause your LSP being frozen by the simple fact that you cannot afford to do the boss anymore.
Overall: Im not sure if the RS3 ge shard price is based on the main item or not, because i remember buying them was just impossible, if thats the case with these items again, having to collect 300 shards by yourself might prove to be way more time consuming than LSP paying you off, but if the shards get traded somewhat often, then i see no issue with this.
