This would prevent any dishonesty, and would not add any gold into the game with out gold being taken out. For example my team and I got a tassets drop. There's 5 of us, and we decide the tassets, if we got them as a drop, would be sold for 15m. We get the tassets drop, w00t, now team leader gets a tassets token. That token can be sold to Player F(the five of us being Player A-E). Player F's gold is then sent in 3m stacks to Player A-E's bank or Lootshare GE tab.

Just a suggestion, may take time and some tweaking but I honestly feel this would work. It mixes the coin share idea, with a tangible item, and teamwork. Now I just hope a Jmod gets to read this and presents it to the rest of the Crüe.

Other Runescapians please tell me what you think of this idea, let JaGex hear it too!

Go to a boss -> "oh cool we got a hilt, how much should we sell it for?" -> Decide on a price, share the cash and keep playing

I would love to see lootshare in osrs. following are my opinions:
- no decay! (the average age of osrs players is higher than it used to be in rs2, therefore a lot of them have jobs and cant play that much to really use their lsp before they decay)
- definitely visible lsp, this always was a big concern of all players, from what i've learned from months of non-life corping
- make like 80% of the worlds lootshare worlds. If all worlds get ls, this would mean you cant really go solo bosses anymore. I'm not a friend of ironmen, but i believe it would be a big disadvantage for them too, not just the regular solo players.
- about the system who gets the item: I would go for a way like the old one, but change it so the highest 3 people are taken into highest chance, like 35%, 15% 10% and the rest is the others randomly. I wouldnt like a total randomisation at all, because some people just arent that lucky and they would considering to stop pvming because they never get any drops.

Hmm... little bit disappointed with 'no coinshare', but still happy to see that you're finally going to work on this. I and many others don't fully trust random players, especially at corp, so this system would do wonders. I'd rather have the split from the drop instantly and not in the form of LSP. For this reason, i'd like to see the coins/shard share system.

Also, how would this work with the pet drops?

Id love this system.. i think it would be fair and square as NOT EVERYONE has the time to play runescape 7 days a week...

This is for a FAIR lootshare :

If you have the highest LSP, you get the next big loot.
but If you dealt 5% or less of the boss's max hp, you get no loot.
If there are many people in the group with the same amount of LSP (example 4 person) then the loot is rolled so they each have 25% chance to receive it.
for smaller/normal loots , as long as you dealt 6%+ of the boss's max hp , you get an equal chance of receiving the loot. (the percentage should take into account masses , where it would be much more difficult to deal a certain amount of damage).
Also , no decay of LSP over time. (drops to 0 when you receive a big loot)

So keep the current system, hits are complete random so its fair and square. With LS you can just afk or whatever and let other people do the work

I would divide the chances of receiving the item with a LSP ratio system , but not neccessary with exact LSP. In a duo team with
player A
having
1k LSP
and
player B
having
10m LSP
. There would only be a
0.01%
chance for
player A
to get the item. This would be used by player A to get his own LSP up for later groups.

I would propose to use the logaritm of each one's LSP and use a ratio of that. Add a floor player weight of 1 for everyone with a negative LSP.
In this example
player A
would get
weight 3
,
player B
would have
weight 7
. This means
player A
has
30% chance
of getting the item, and
player B 70% chance
.
Of course this logarithm doesn't need to be base 10. My example would still be the same in base e (=2.72), but it would decrease the chances for people with negative LSP.
The advantage of this system is that everyone still has a reasonable chance to get a drop, but with a clear advantage for the person with higher LSP in the long run.


About the other questions:
-only decay when negative (or not at all)
-no absolute (or relative) numbers visible, rank in the group is possible for me.
-no to coinshare as it was, no opinion yet about the new coinshare system.
-keep the damage personal. If the person with most damage is not in the LS group, the solo person would get the drop. If someone in the LS group gets the most damage, the drop is shared in the group. No need for LS worlds this way, you get the same competition as currently.
