Hello.

I'd like Sailing as the new Skill with improvments.
It should be a new one, different to Eoc imo anyway.

Here's my idea:

Sailing impacts:


- Deep sea
fishing
[new food (or not)* which requires a new method of fishing (new equipment) which gains
sailing
and
fishing
with the ability to store your catches

-
PvP
, as everyone owns a ship, which can be upgraded/changed to a better one by levelling, you can create your own crew which stacks combat-skill levels aswell as sailing levels together to give the Ship a calculated
ship-strength
on its own, resulting out of all members taking part in and influenting the combat levels of Sea Monsters attacking you (rarely).

PvM underwater, islands, Ghostships, Storms

Fight a Kraken or other Sea-Monsters, which drain you underwater if you aren't carefull, also with limited time as you are wearing some backpacks covering air to give you health underwater.
Sea Monsters can be fought over Ship not needing to be drawn under water.
You always got the option to flee, if you are fast enought.

Discover new Monsters, Quests, Human-Races and maybe Tressures, which are located on new Islands.

Work with your team together or be a quick solo captain, having your ship under control if storms appear and damage or even destroy your ship. You can get away without being damaged at all if you are good at clicking.

Discover new secrets by sighting Ghostships and entering them, however these got on sea. Maybe some Pirates were not as successfull as you are.

Thats probably the best ideas i saw in a very long time for a new skill, Sailing got a huge potencial, they should really at least consider it on the pdc if someone makes a well developed text explaining how it would work

Decorating


In my opinion most of newbies in old rs were going for trimming and everything with to make your gear nice. The new skill should be decorating, i know its dump idea about skill, but it should have everything.

Start skill
: If u want to start this skill u should buy almost all resources, expect that final one. That final one will be something special like Last PIECE to puzzle. You should obtain that item by your skilling and from drops, clues and etc. At the start from wc, or mining or monsters.

With clues u should get special Resources for special items. Every gear in OSRS should be upgraded with decent special bonuses. Aprox. New mining set should be upgraded with your skilling decoration by 0.25% - so you will get more xps but it will not be so overpower, every 20 skills. In the end it that set should have 2.75% experience boost to mining with base bonus 1.5%.

In midle skill
: You should upgrade armours especialy for PK u should get decent bonuses for rune and torso +1 str or att bonuses.

For that patient one 70+
: u should upgrade your Barrows items with little changing collor or horns on your equipment.

90+
U should upgrade that most popular armours Bandos/armadyl/Godswords.

On the 90+
that skill should have specialization. Combat way with stable decent skilling bonuses and huge Combat bonuses. Or skilling with better skilling bonuses, but it will cost u that combat way. If you want to change this way every bonuses from another spec. will be vanished.

For skillers will be bonuses or fancy things, so if you should obtain that special items from skilling u should upgrade your sets for skilling that you couldnt obtain in that combat way.


And the last one on
99
u should make one item special for you. That will be untradeable but it will be with your colours and everyone will see if u will wear it. You are that one

Bartending or Brewery. Create your own bar with a portal like player owned houses that people can go to. Use construction to build it and design it but make the skill for different types of beverages. Also cooking could help to have the level to create the beverage.

:) I think the new skill should be called the "Adventuring skill" Its kind of like a clue scroll/slayer skill. As you level this skill up you get different masters, like in slayer.
You are suppose to retrieve a particular item for your master, to get the item you must kill a boss that is located in a certain cave or dungeon. Now the bosses are higher levels as you level up your "Adventuring skill" Like in clue scrolls you will get a reward for doing so, but the rewards get better as your "adventuring skill" increases. When you complete so many amounts of trips you get a point. With the points you can buy different things like. Different pieces of a unique armor set that you can only get from this skill, a unique sword and shield, unique range armor, unique crossbow, unique bow, unique mage armor, unique staff and a unique wand.
