To be honest, i've played runescape on-and-off for a solid 7-8 years. I've gone through multiple accounts; but Bilroy by far has been my most valued. I got max cape within a year when i played way too much back in high-school. 120 dung(+ like 12-13m extra xp) i wanted to go for 200m but then new content ruined how training was distinguished. I knew countless kids who enjoyed dungeoneering for simply pure fun. Summoning would also bring a lot more activity and content into the game and make bossing more appreciated when seeing more drops due to longer trips. To be honest i barely play anymore the only thing that would allow me to somehow waste my little free time on this game is dungeoneering. But i imagine a random skill will be released based on everyones opinions and most common ideas.

I'm still skeptical of rather this is a positive idea or not as a new skill could drastically effect gameplay, especially if they release balance altering items. I hope that jagex is wise enough to not repeat that mistake.

Making the skill useful, yet not changing anything..is going to be an incredibly difficult balancing act.
OSRS Mage Tank.

Believe magic to only be for support? Think again. It's just as valid of a Pking style as melee and range is.

Don't forget to make it extremely repetitive or else people might label it as "a minigame" or "not a real skill".

Example:
Skill name: Wooden Shoemaking (Wosmy for short)
Description: Similar to Fletching, but you make shoes in stead of bows.
Training method: Use chisle and hammer on wood to make shoes.
Rewards: Shoes with bad stats that no one will ever wear.
High level content: Make shoes out of rocks.
99 Skillcape Emote: You make a shoe out of a log.

Good luck to everyone and remember: no fun allowed. Skills aren't meant to be fun.

Hello.

I'd like Sailing as the new Skill with improvments.
It should be a new one, different to Eoc imo anyway.

Here's my idea:

Sailing impacts:

- Deep sea
fishing
[new food (or not)* which requires a new method of fishing (new equipment) which gains
sailing
and
fishing
with the ability to store your catches

-
PvP
, as everyone owns a ship, which can be upgraded/changed to a better one by levelling, you can create your own crew which stacks combat-skill levels aswell as sailing levels together to give the Ship a calculated
ship-strength
on its own, resulting out of all members taking part in and influenting the combat levels of Sea Monsters attacking you (rarely).

_
PvM underwater, islands, Ghostships, Storms

Fight a Kraken or other Sea-Monsters, which drain you underwater if you aren't carefull, also with limited time as you are wearing some backpacks covering air to give you health underwater.
Sea Monsters can be fought over Ship not needing to be drawn under water.
You always got the option to flee, if you are fast enought.

Discover new Monsters, Quests, Human-Races and maybe Tressures, which are located on new Islands.

Work with your team together or be a quick solo captain, having your ship under control if storms appear and damage or even destroy your ship. You can get away without being damaged at all if you are good at clicking.

Discover new secrets by sighting Ghostships and entering them, however these got on sea. Maybe some Pirates were not as successfull as you are.

If nothing of this is in your interest, feel free to follow other ships, just to sail around and grind xp. Maybe you want to visit your Spots where you threw a few hours before your net out to catch bigger lobsters? Who knows?

These ideas could interest any Player, wheather Pk'er or Skiller.

Feel free to respond.

Greetings
