Sorry but I'm posting this here so Jagex Mods can see it:
So...I just checked my 'pure account', Anestis, on the hi-scores while playing on my main. I saw that my account had 78 defense and I was very confused. I tried to log on the account and I found out that it had an authentication set for the account, one I never set. I went on my email and quickly removed the authenticator. For some reason my ******** was never changed, either because they were lazy or they were unable to access my email.
The last time that I personally logged on the account was to do the Christmas event. I just checked my cml (crystal math labs) to check when I last gained xp. It looks like I was hacked on January 19th (when i started to gain xp) and had gained xp at a steady rate until today, January 28th (when I recovered the account). I have already changed my rs ******** and email ******** just in case. I've done a full system scan and I have no keyloggers or other issues. From January 19th-January 28th the hacker managed to train 1-78 defense on my account. I believe that they were ranging at the wilderness aviansies as the account was wearing some god range items, had 5k mith bolts, 3k lobbies in the bank and some alches as well as 4 days of membership on it.
How does something like this happen? No one else knew either the email or ******** of my account. I rarely logged on the account in the past few months and I told no one of the account. I never visit any dodgy sites or click any dodgy links. On top of that, no one has attempted to hack my main account.
The only 3rd party rs-related program I use is Osbuddy. I doubt that they were responsible but I have followed proper safety precautions ever since I was last hacked in 2008 on my main account.
Basically, is there anything that Jagex can do to help me? Is my account, which took a lot of effort, ruined forever? At 78 def this account is useless to me. Are my 1 def days over or can you do something about it, Jagex?
