Eroding game integrity in the name of distracting people for 1 month is a poor reason to replace best-in-slot items. I'd rather them improve on existing, old school , content than pump out half baked and (usually) poorly executed updates that just go more and more towards the OP direction Rs3 went into.

I remember when GWD came out I said it was a slippery slope to GE/Corp/etc and people laughed me off saying I was paranoid. Now look at things. If the trend continues in 1-2 years we'll basically be at 2012 RS when people were running around practically 1 hitting each other with stupid items.


I agree in the sense that these updates are eroding the game away but when the majority of players keep voting high level items and pvm as the priority for updates its kind of hard not to introduce new bis items.


Exactly, but at least fire cape is a challenge to the average player. BIS Mage/Range capes make sense since theyre level 40 quest rewards or level 60 magic free content. There's room for improvement with both of these. Monkey Madness 2 is the way to do it IMO. Current BIS gear slaughters all bosses with ease, if we keep adding it anyone will be crushing these bosses. We should save BIS rewards for when they are actually necessary on a challenging boss. Just my thoughts.

I don't like that fact we'll have to do Jad again seeing as I beat it a kabliion eighty times.
I think its clear people wanted a separate area, and releasing 3 BIS capes for one area seems like a waste, like spreading too much butter on bread. Just make the melee cape come from Jad2
and have the others range and mage capes comes from somewhere else, otherwise youll be running out of ideas in the future.

Why not make it one cape that can switch between all 3, if all 3 are given at the end?
(if that option passes)

Also, tacking on 22 waves could be bad. Why not allow people to use firecapes they have to attempt those new waves. In which case, it's should be 1 cape at random. (No choice)

Essentially, if a player does the whole cave including inferno on one inventory, they deserve all 3 capes.(or one cape of choice.) But not if they entered with a fire cape.


Oh and posting this as someone without a fcape.

This content is supposed to be difficult. Making it an endurance challenge does not make it difficult; it just makes the content a hassle and time consuming. The challenge should be in monster mechanics and kill strategy, not endurance.

Runefest players stated that they didn't want a Fight Kiln in OSRS. Have you guys bothered to ask why? Have you guys bothered to see if those players beat the fight kiln on release date?

Here's the legitimate concerns with adding a Fight Kiln:
1) Overpowered Obsidian Armor
2) Overpowered Stat, Drain, and Immunity Buffs
3) Multiple Safe Spots
4) Predetermined Mob Spawns

Having a separate area is not a concern for players and neither is a longer wait for quality content.

I like the look of the capes.

If the range and mage capes are failing I'm voting no for the melee cape other wise all yes from me.

Odd how people are complaining so much about it being an extension saying they don't want to do the 63 waves again. If they don't make it current 63 waves + 22 new waves and make it its own piece of content its not like they're going to only keep the new 22 waves they will pretty much for sure instead of only doing 22 new waves they will do something like 60-80 waves where the first 40 or 50 will be new but just as easy and boring as current cave.
