People have so much hate for dungeoneering and summoning, and I've pinned it to two (maybe three) causes.
Dungeoneering: You suck at it. Plain and simple. Dungeoneering brought a whole new (and great) aspect to the game. New weapons and shields for every corner of the combat triangle, and resources for skillers also. If you don't like dungeoneering, you either never gave it a chance, or you were bad at it.
Summoning: You can't afford it. Summoning was great for countless reasons. Sure, bossing got the slightest bit easier (unless you're 96, then it made a drastic difference), but it also made our lives much easier. I'm 99 summoning and would still run around with a terror bird back in the day for the energy return. And that's just one small example. It brought a whole new way to make money into the game (Fruit Bat for example), gave us a new skill (which could only be leveled by leveling other skills with it, kind of like slayer), and revitalized a dying game. So you don't like summoning because you either 1) were too lazy and realized you can't really power-train/AFK it to 99 (ergo, it required some actual effort), or 2) you were too poor to afford it. There's nothing wrong with the latter, besides the fact that you either are oblivious to the thousands of ways to make money, or are too financially unstable to save anything.
So there you go. There's the cold, hard truth.
I'm beyond excited for Zeah. Sure, it has the opportunity to be a terrible update. But why focus on that if you actually like the game. The only people I see getting irritated are the PvP focused people. PvM focused people are typically excited to try out all the new toys that Jagex gives us. You were all excited when GWD came to OSRS, and we all know it was solely because you had your AGS back, and could go around smacking 70's like it's your passion. So give something new and overpowered a chance to compete before you lose your minds over nothing.
