Did the jagex team even consider ironmen when they changed the zul andra teleport drop from 20-1? I can see changing it to 5 or even 10 a good thing. But to change it to 1, you literally just gave all current ironmen a HUGE advantage who have stacked up over 200 zulrah teleports. Every NEW ironman you just made fall behind even further and have a MASSIVE disadvantage to acquiring the same amount of loot the older ironman have already acquired. Please either poll these things or think EVERY aspect through. I personally have no motivation to play my ironman anymore and I'm sure there are MANY others. This update may seem small to you guys, but this is bigger than the eye can see, as to how much this is setting back new ironmen in comparison to older ones. please POLL or reconsider the options.

The game shouldn't be designed around people that chose to limit themselves.

First off, I agree something needed to be done about Zulrah. Having done Zulrah for the past few days now I could see it was clearly overpowered, considering how cheap it was to kill. The Duel Ring to Clan Wars -> Zul-andra Teleport to Zulrah was an incredibly fast and cheap way to heal and then go back to the boss.

I'd also like to make everyone aware, since I don't think anyone else has said this, that the Fairy Ring spoken about in this thread has a 76 Agility requirement . That kind of fits into the theme of the Elven lands since the quests there usually need agility. I'm not going to say this req should be lowered, since that would benefit me (Being 70 agility currently) and I can't know for sure if I really think it should be lowered or if I just want Zulrah to be easier for myself.

Regardless, congrats to all the maxed players who now have a cape to show their status. Also congrats to all the players(Who were already rich from doing so much Zulrah) for making millions off of the Zul-andra teleports that they were hoarding.

EDIT:
After having killed a couple of Zulrah, I can say it's still possible and fairly easy. The first kill was nothing was different, but on the second the Zulrah phases didn't follow the normal rotation. It was difficult and I had no clue what was going to spawn next, or where I should stand(I still rely on the Wiki image of Zulrah Rotations for guidance) but I still managed to just barely finish the kill with no food and 4 hp left. (Stats are HP: 99, Defence: 99, Mage: 92, Range: 88)
So I think once I've gotten a bit more practice with the new system it won't be that much more difficult, I just have to figure out how it works.

Max cape colors being customizable should be released eventually. If this cape that takes thousands of hours to get, has the stats of a trimmed skilled cape, and costs 2277k, the least you could do is customize the colors. I mean really, what is there to wear with a red cape? This should be an any outfits kind of cape, its a huge achievement with very little reward to it.

Hey Ash I've suggested this more than a few times, tell me what you think. The journey to Zulrah by boat should instead take time and the minions you fight while going to the boss should drop zulrah scales. This way the resource gain from zulrah is slowed and zulrah scales are more available to be used (some people believe they cost too much).

Also I appreciate the effort. I like how the max cape has cosmetic stats, it doesn't make sense for me for a cape to have an advantage in PvP or combat in general when it has very little related to combat itself.

And as far as ironmen complaining, they really should have seen this coming a year ago. They are not a part of the economy so they unsurprisingly don't care about it and only about themselves. It has so much benefit for the greater whole of the OSRS community.

Yeah imo what made Max cape so awesome was the ability to change its colors to anything we liked, it would be nice to have that feature in old school. Maybe we'll get it one day :) Its still a great cape.

You're welcome. That code's a tangled mess from 2007, and I can see how someone got a bit confused when they were trying to do the intended update. I'll try to do a bit of a tidy-up, since it's apparently giving us difficulty now :)

In the old school GFX engine, we're not going to be able to create huge scenery-busting animations like some of the advanced stuff from RS3. Any time the player tries to extend a limb outside their 1x1 tile, we get render order problems. This necessarily constrains what Alfred can do as a flashy emote.


But could you potentially do a something like it starting with the player planting a tree, casting humidify, cutting a log, fletching that log into a bow, lighting an arrow on fire and shooting the arrow and continuing?

Surely that is possible as we have a lot of similar emotes in game already.
