Thanks. One more thing that it's a little ambiguous, is the special attack a guaranteed freeze or does it have to hit to freeze like the ZGS?

We can do it either way, I'd be more inclined to guarantee the bind.

I agree, I like things that have a guaranteed effect and it would be pretty well balanced alongside the ZGS.

I also agree with people saying that 5000 hits is a bit low, that's only 3 hours 20 minutes of combat at the cost of an entire whip. 500k per hour to use? That's more expensive than even chaotics ever were.

I love these ideas, but is 5000 hits for the tentacle whip enough?


This is something I'm hoping you guys can give feedback on, if you take an average hit of 25 the whip would last for 500k xp.

500k exp is actually pretty minimal in high-level PvM. At max melee you easily get 500K exp in one day or the alternative 166K exp on controlled when slaying. Slayer's a game of luck and some people may go thousands of Abbies without a single whip drop and won't be able to balance that with the daily new whip they need to buy.

5000 will work for some people but for most I see it being a huge pain, I'd say double, even triple it. Or else you'll find people just using the Zammy hasta instead since it barely hits any lower than a normal whip, is just as fast, and it's overall cost is less than what a tentacle whip's would be.

And oh wow, for the sake of the Internet, please call it the Kraken Whip and not the Tentacle Whip.

I like the idea of the tentacle whip, but I'm not sure if those upgrades will be worth the loss of 1mill. Maybe it will be better in game, but on paper I'm not sure if it's worth it.

How long would 5000 hits usually last?

Also PVP seems like a dodgy area since they will be missing out on a 1m pk, but at the same time it could bring in abuse with people dying to their friends to save the whip.


At an average hit of 25, thats 500k XP.

As soon as you combine the Tentacle and the Whip that whip is effectively gone, you'd still drop the tentacle component.

You guys are doing very well!

But it's obvious that the drop of the kraken is going to be more valuable than the drop from a lvl 93 slayer monster.
Why don't you think about a better drop for the Smoke Devil.

I think that when you finally achieve 93+ slayer, you should be rewarded with a more valuable item.

Voting no on both of these items, here we go with the start of OP weapons coming into the game.

Whipping 48's with max strength bonus and barraging 38-39 with the necklace and staff of dead.
