The tentacle idea is an interesting one, yes - a potentially good way to start removing whips from the game, as previously there wasn't a sink for them and their prices just kept crashing.

However, the volatile nature of the tentacle will cause it to consume the whip component after it has dealt 5000 hits.
Does that include misses or do you have to actually deal damage 5000 times?

I like the ideas but there isn't enough, I'd like the bosses to have one main drop then a couple of other unique drops that are more frequent and lesser in value, but something to keep you motivated to kill it.
Ideas look good though
