Let's just put this into perspective: Picture that pets were released first for skilling before boss pets. Would people be complaining about too many pets when the idea of pets for bossing was brought up? Uh no.

If boss pets were not introduced yeah I would consider having these skilling pets but your what if is just that... a what if. The thing is boss pets have came first and having skilling pets now would make there too many pets in the game. Besides skillers have skill capes to show off their achievements whereas pets were good for PvM to give PvMers their own skill cape like items.

LOL.

PvMers get skillcapes, extremely rare items worth
millions
, and tons of pets. Your argument is invalid.

All looks great except I do believe that in order to make the skilling pets enjoyable that there needs to be a high level requirement, high level/hard to get item, or difficult quest/minigame to complete before being able to acquire any. A key thing that makes pets great is the journey. That way the guy with 1k+ in game hours who spends 2 months on magics doesn't have to be mad at the guy with under 1000 overall who spent an hour chopping an oak tree.

The rest of the poll seems very fair to me though!

They already said that using higher level skilling methods is a faster gateway to pets than lower level content. Plus pets are a massive luck thing in general, it's very possible that someone who grinds something for hundreds of hours will not obtain what someone gets in a few seconds. That's just how RuneScape is.

Question: Should herbs lit in incense burners last longer depending on your Firemaking level?

Will the base time at level 1 be the normal time currently in-game? or will those with lower firemaking be penalized with shorter incense times then normal?

Hey there,

I think that instead of a beaver for the woodcutting pet, perhaps a small ent would be a better idea? Also, if skilling pets do pass, I believe they should be acquired with the same approach that we had with the skilling rocks in rs3. A player would be mining for instance, and a rock would spawn in their inventory which you took to the varrock museum to exchange for xp. I think that in this instance, a player should be mining, receive a "strange rock" or woodcutting and receive a "strange seed", take it to the appropriate skill master in exchange for the pet.

Super glad to see Jagex finally cracking down on OSB.

I would have liked to see the Amulet of Nature somehow been involved with the fix, as I feel it's an absolutely useless item now. Maybe if we can't just add the patch monitor to the AoN, we can make it so that you can use the spell with enough runes to cast it 100 times (or a Lvl-2 Enchant spell with 100x the runes) and an AoN in your inventory and it asks you if you want to make an AoN (i) which would be untradeable. The AoN (i) would show the status of all active farming patches and wouldn't require the wearer to be on the lunar spell book any more.
