I can't wait, it seems like it will fit OSRS very well.

Maybe hold a competition where people can send in concepts, concept art or 3d models to add into sailing or the sailing rewards. I think this would be a great community event and maybe even have a little prize? :)

Sailing hype is real yo.

what makes old school old school is the combat mechanics and the graphics adding a new skills is not changing any of that.

and.

if your whole reason for voting no is the new items that were talked about they will be polled separately from sailing.

Oh yay a skill that will bring in Augury and Rigour and bring in a lot of new content regardless of how some osrs players will vote. I may vote yes to this update if it looks better closer to release but I'm not captivated so far.
