Interesting idea, but not needed. Spend the time on this instead on more updates for the existing game modes, please. Emphasis on the original game mode: Play OSRS, without random advantages and disadvantages.

More interesting now as the increased xp makes it to where it might actually be viable to play. As others have mentioned however, there are too many safe zones. They should either be smaller in size, or reduced in number.

The 5 skill protection is a concern as well. I can see people just protecting most of their combat skills (or is combat skills excluded from this?) , keeping their bank to the bare necessities and 1 iteming to minimize lost. I'm not sure how practical that would be, but I'm sure many will try it.

Clans are of course still a issue as well, a bunch of friends/teammates are just going to get together and prevent access to resources, resulting in clans becoming dominant.

Runes are another issue. I'm not sure how the economy would work in such a mode, but I see rune supply as being very, very low. Should consider increasing runes/essence for Rc and decreasing its xp rate. The increased rune count should result in xp rates being the same, if the xp multiplier is reduced a bit.

It's a interesting concept, but I don't believe it can work out well.

Believe magic to only be for support? Think again. It's just as valid of a Pking style as melee and range is.

If you want to have many people playing this I think you've found the right balance. If you listen to people wanting less safe zones(not actually safe, just more safe) you will lose a lot of potential players. Same with the bank raid and xp loss, if penalties are too great not many people will want to play and you'll be left with only a handful and that inactivity will then cause even greater inactivity. My own opinions here, you don't have to agree with me:

Sounds like a wonderful mode.

Here's what I'd change (again me personally).



Protect 5 skills is fine.

Instead of 'protect 3 items' (and skull), I propose this:


'Protect all worn items'.
So people could potentially upgrade their main armor and weapons (but no more than what they could wear). Your inventory would of course be dropped if killed. The '3 most valuable items' would not really apply here, it would be just your worn armor that is protected on death (unless skulled).

Having to completely reequip yourself each death will get VERY VERY frustrating...just consider what it will be like to get your key weapons/armor back, and players multi-killing you out of the safe spots.

People would then have a nice goal to work towards, to upgrade various slots that cannot be taken from them (unless they choose to risk it).


Far less safezones. Areas around spawn points should be safe.
You should also add something like 'cannot be attacked for 3 minutes' after dying.

Another suggestion:

For fun
, perhaps
once every 4 hours
, you could have a super fun 'free for all'
no consequence
fighting (lasting for 20 minutes).

People can basically run around attacking and 'killing' each other in the world, and after it is all done, they are automatically returned to exactly where they were with same stats and everything. It would last for like 20 minutes, and would be ONLY FOR FUN.

'Dying' would teleport you to a safe area where you could not leave till the time is up. Perhaps provide people skilling areas in this safe zone so they aren't bored while waiting for the free for all to conclude.

The 'victor' of this free for all would be announced server wide (perhaps most kills), or 'last standing'.

The last 2 minutes, the game would teleport everyone left to a small area perhaps to 'finish' each other off.
