when does osrs get its own forums and grand exchange database? also a world map in game would be nice
Our GE webpages are nearly ready. Hopefully we'll get them in the coming weeks.
An in-game world map would involve game engine changes. There are currently more pressing things we need from that team.
thanks, looking forward to it

Can you expand the team even further? I don't understand why Jagex has limited you guys so much when OSRS has at least 30-40% (ruff estimate) active daily players of RuneScape 3.
I feel the quality of game updates are lacking hard. For example; putting everything in Nieves cave instead of looking into more fun alternatives like adding agility short cuts so players can access new areas that aren't packed (not going too pass poll anyway because idiots don't wan'* to train agility), or just waiting months for updates in general (there is more to this but I'm not putting the time to research problems that's not my job).
Fire Archie or Ronan and make that a single job then hire another dev. I understand this is ridiculous, but it's not. I don't play MemeScape I play OldSchool RuneScape.
Half the team (Archie, Ronan, Alfred look unmotivated as fk) seem like they're just doing it for the pay check when you should really be looking into people with passion for the game. I know this isn't you job Ash and I am very thankful we have you but god dammit your colleagues make me sick at times.
I'm not afraid to quit, I LOVE this game and just want the best for it. I don't want what's best for the players because people are going to be bias and decide what best for them, like making the too game easy.

I thought magicmushies from the previous post put this all too well..
***People are going to be bias and decide what best for them, like making the too game easy.***
This must be the place for update feedback right? I'm sure you've heard this a bunch already but what is the point of platinum tokens? The maximum amount of cash allowed in game before was roughly 2,000,000,000 coins. Out of curiosity, who in the heck would need that much money in the first place?
Which raises my second question WHO NEEDS MORE THEN 2 BILLION COINS?! I understand the elite want more money cause money = power in some cynical fashion, however as a whole it doesn't really benefit the greater good. All this is going to lead to is the wealthy turning all their coins into tokens and hoarding them all. (Tokens as well as Coins - you* need roughly 2,000,000,000,000 coins ((Thats trillion folks)) to get a max token stack)
What happens when the 1% has taken all the coins and turned them into tokens? What do we do then?
On a serious note though, why was this implemented? I understand the community voted on it, but I still don't understand how it even became an option in the first place. This update is absolutely unnecessary, does not serve the greater population, and has limited to no benefits as a whole.
I request that you Repoll/Repeal this update ASAP.
(PS - not the entire update, just those pointless, silly, little tokens)

Remove "peek" option from scorpia. A team can hop worlds sparatically and if they find a world with someone inside they can simply gather at the entrance and then rush in and kill them easily. At least if someone is scouting traditionally, the scorpia killer gets a warning by seeing someone come in real fast.
I agree with this! The clan I am in we go Scorpia about once a week this could be very troubling for a small clan such as ours.
Done.
Well, sort of. I can't remove the op. But I've programmed it not to tell you how many people are in there.
What about a message in the chatbox (Toggleable if possible) that lets people inside the room know that the door was checked. As far as i can tell it would be roughly the same as seeing the white dot from before.
Edit: What is wrong with using a tilde? I was trying to use one to mean approximately/roughly and it keeps becoming an asterisk.

Jagex has given us quite a few new staff lately. Chucking in dozens more might sound like a good idea, but I think you'd find the team a lot less able to respond to you personally if we got so big that we needed middle managers and project coordinators, etc.

I'm sorry you see that as a lack of quality. Bear in mind that Nieve's cave is the "task-only" cave. So if we put NPCs in there, it's to make them task-only, not because we can't be bothered to put them somewhere else instead.
Mapping down an expansion to Nieve's cave is no easier than mapping down an expansion to any other cave. And you'll recall Nieve's cave does actually have Agility features and other obstacles; putting NPCs in there is not an excuse to avoid adding obstacles.

No. I consider it beneficial to have both of them. Having someone to read the forums and social media is valuable, and having someone who understands video stuff and can deal with our Twitch records is valuable too. But I'd like another permanent developer alongside me and Mod Krista too, since Mod Maz is not expected to be here permanently.

Oddly enough, that's actually Marketing in action. Stick out dank memes that players will distribute on the internet, and you get more people noticing OSRS and potentially becoming players. Obviously we pay for advertising too, and that's been working well, but viral memes are cheap and powerful. We don't just do it for teh lulz.

I have no doubt that my teammates have at least as much passion for the game as I do. Despite the response of some members of the community

Stakers. I've seen one staker with 10m platinum tokens.

It'd need some kind of anti-spam rule as well as a toggle.
Ash, any chance at us getting the dark stone style for our houses? Would it be a hard job? I seem to recall it was basically just recolored white stone.
