Rare is either continued or discontinued.

Do not imagine that this gives the best of both worlds... It will not.

These items are trash. I will ridicule every item I see. You must be stupid to pick one up even if it spawns below your feet.

If they are not discontinued you should spawn them like you did on your tester day april fools... and keep trolling mod mat k so no one can pick them up etc. that would be best since they are not discontinued just play another joke you freaking trolllllllllll

Strange, I don't seem to recall Christmas Crackers being distributed yearly at any point when I played. Perhaps its just a bug. The J-mods should really work on those things, they take away from the old school feel.

I am a veteran from 2004, this month will be 9 years since the first time I ever logged into runescape, and I would like to contribute my 2 cents on this issue.

First of all, I do not agree that rares should even be in this game, AT ALL, however I understand that isn't the will of the majority so I have been trying to offer advice on the best way to do this. I personally voted yes on every single option in the last rare item poll because I don't think these should be any harder to get than anything else and I wish they had made them drops from high level monsters and doing the highest level activity in each skill randomly so people get them for being good at the game, NOT being in the right place at the right time, NOT being rich, and NOT because they have played for so many years or are some sort of veteran (kinda selfish idea don't you think?). I worry rares will ruin the economy and make the rich, richer, and the poor unable to get the worthless pretty item they want.

Second of all, I personally think that Jagex's backup plan isn't that bad in terms of allowing them to come back every year and allowing community events to get items to people, however I think 1 single rare item in each world at a time just isn't fair and I suggest you change it to 5 spawns per world so that boss hunters, bank sitters, skillers, and pkers can all have a better chance at getting an item.

Lastly I think Jagex needs to watch out for the extremely rich buying out the holiday items and then dumping them right before that particular holiday and then rebuying them all after the holiday when there's a bunch of new ones and the price is back low, only to hold a monopoly on it for the next 8-10 months before dumping a starting the cycle again. (They WILL do this, and think about that situation multiplied by X number of rare items and X number of holidays, and you will see the scary situation I am picturing). There will be a cycle of the richest making themselves richer again and again.

I am completely and utterly outrages by this. Rares should be distributed once and thats it for the rest of history. It's not rare if you see someone with a partyhat and think, i don't have to work for that, i can just wait till christmas. It will ruin the prices and peoples view of rares as well, which will completely take away the feeling of oldschool. I am actually becoming discouraged to play runescape hearing that the rares will be available every year. It goes completely against the concept of rares and I think i speak for everyone when i say this is a terrible idea and nobody approves of it but you jagex mods.
