I honestly think it would have been better to go with the choices that got the highest percent. That way it would still be the community making the decision of how rares get added in. The backup plan was not at all decided by the community and this is just the start of Jagex making their own decisions of what should be implemented and how things should be implemented.

Blame jagex because not enough players supported what you want?

No thanks.

..or Jagex could have chosen the options that got the highest support percentages. Jagex came up with the backup plan and the community never did decide whether they wanted it implemented or not.

In order to have chosen what the simple majority wanted they would have had to throw the rule of 75% required out the window.

Again, no thanks.

Jagex came up with the backup plan BECAUSE the community couldn't agree on anything presented (that is, a supermajority wasn't achieved on any option).

Well this will be great for people with summer jobs and school because they totally have the time to go looking around for rares *ahem* I mean commons now as they only drop 1 per respawn. But I guess these folks can just buy them up seeing as they're cont'* now and would probably be affordable. I just feel like there is so much disconnect in communication from Jagex and the community that the majority of the players are being ignored. Personally, I think the back-up plan is just ok but I really hope that the players have more of an influence on the results next time around.

IMO, it's not very 'bright' to assume that people voting yes to bringing them back are in favor of bringing them back.. regardless.

You are NOT giving us options in this vote.

Agreed.

Aah yes elf, but the difference in you and I is that following that post I took the time to learn MORE.

Learning more enabled me to see the entire picture, and to apologize for my early ranting.

With age, comes the ability to accept when I'm wrong, as well as to accept the way things are and move on.

These little pixelated hats are now going to be the fun that Andrew Gower intended them to be in the first place.

IMO, that's as awesome as it gets!

Okay Tyria, but you see, if the majority had not voted Yes to any rares, we could never have gotten to the point where we could have our say How .

And regarding fun.. I don't think it will be fun this summer because with todays knowledge in their mind, people will just frustrated seek for these items. Many won't be happy if they don't get any or as many. :(

Jagex threw out the 75% rule with the backup plan. Can you explain that?
If Jagex can throw out the 75% rule and create a backup plan that no one decided on, then they should be able to throw out the 75% rule and still let the community decide.
