Good news. Holiday items will be introduced into the game, starting very soon. Personally, I'm glad about the outcome. Ingame fun items will probably end up being used for fun. Hurray.

I´m going to strut around with that scythe for hours if I can get my hands on one :)

Thanks Mod Mat K, for reaching a decision and for the nice balancing act. I think the method of introducing the items into the game is a nice one.

Thanks Asharrak and Tyria Mine for the dedication and patience displayed on threads about holiday items.
And thanks everyone else who participated in the discussions, both pro and con.


Now, let's play and enjoy ourselves.
Isn't it strange that so many players blindly apply to clans, without ever wondering why there are openings in that clan?

rares will be worthless in 07 and every1 will have 1

I am completely and utterly outrages by this. Rares should be distributed once and thats it for the rest of history. It's not rare if you see someone with a partyhat and think, i don't have to work for that, i can just wait till christmas. It will ruin the prices and peoples view of rares as well, which will completely take away the feeling of oldschool. I am actually becoming discouraged to play runescape hearing that the rares will be available every year. It goes completely against the concept of rares and I think i speak for everyone when i say this is a terrible idea and nobody approves of it but you jagex mods.

I'm not sure it's the fact that you post too much, probably more that you post the same thing too much.

I know you want to get your point across but there's not really a need to reply with your same opinion to anyone who doesn't agree with you. You said you expected the community to think before clicking yes on the poll, I believe if you put your trust in their ability to read your opinion that's already been posted on here then it will save you the time of having to keep re-posting the same thing, and save space for others to voice their opinions.

On another note, it would be nice for some more information to be answered regarding peoples questions, and the questions I asked earlier before the event arises.

Also am curious about how long people think each item will take to find on average? But again guess that depends on spawn points etc.

The vote didn't get the 75% support it needed to pass.

Side note to lunatic and others: That's not my 'opinion' (that 75% requirement) it IS A FACT (a fact which I wouldn't KEEP posting, if people didn't continue to ask WHY these items will be continued, or blame jagex for lack of enough player support for it).

Anyone can disagree with anything they so choose, but it isn't my opinion that 75% is required and wasn't achieved... it is a FACT (and you know it).

All of us posting in these forums, do so when we feel compelled to do so. We post in response to any post we feel needs a response (that 'all of us' includes YOU). I am no different and there are no different rules for different posters.

I will continue to post how I believe I should (same as everyone else does) and if y'all would really like to see less of MY posts, then perhaps you can convey the message to each other that the 75% IS required, was NOT met, and is NOT jagex's fault (see then, I might not feel so compelled to point it out)?

See, I'm not 'arguing when people disagree' with me, I'm simply pointing out the truth of the matter at hand. No matter how 'ugly' anyone else finds it... and I wouldn't need to do that so much, if players took responsibility for what's happened and stop blaming jagex for something the players have done (or in this case, failed to do).
