was he not doing the same for those opposing the suggestion?
And sure, that's a mistake on my part. What I meant to write instead was that the community doesn't "need" an update like this.

The community doesn't need an update like DDM.*
It's not fear-mongering, it's stating that there are better things that devs could be putting their time into rather than DDM.

Our dev team is larger now, the mode shouldn't be that intensive of a project as compared to things like Zeah, and it should generate revenue which helps the game as a whole.

This sounds bad ass. I really can't wait to try this out with my friends. As for all of you whiny little kids who can't afford $12 a month you should probably work more and play less. As for the other people who are complaining about the grind, this isn't about grinding this is about getting together with a group and having regular old pking fun with a twist.
Yeah, by the looks of it, you'll try it out, get sick of it, and then move onto the next game.
What about those who are more invested in the game than you are, people who care about the long-term? Couple of arguments opposed to the mode have already explained why the community doesn't want DDM. It's just another hyped up cash-grab that's just another means of avoiding the actual work that needs to be done on the main servers.
All you did was make generalizations about someone, and then pretend that you speak for the entire community...

The community doesn't need an update like DMM.*
It's not fear-mongering, it's stating that there are better things that devs could be putting their time into rather than DMM.
The community also doesn't 'need' the abyssal demon boss, nor Zeah. It's what the community wants, that goes.
Need != wants
We don't even know how much development time it will cost to make DMM. As long as we don't know the average development time given by the osrs, it cannot be used as a pro or con aspect.
Also, there will be a lot of quitters but that doesn't mean that after 2 months there will only be 100 players left. Most quitters will be the ones that think they might enjoy this game mode and figure out it wan'* they thought it would be or is too hard for them.
The same happened with ironman mode. To me and a lot more other people is ironman mode a lot more fun than regular mode. 1861 total level ironman and still enjoying it like it were the first few months after release. The same would go for DMM.
