What if you have xp past 99? Losing 7 levels doesn't make sense. It should be percentage-based with some factors into when you are higher, you lose less. And maybe just in the most recent skill you trained? Or something where it only effects pking.

Not everyone will have teams. Not every team will be able to always play together. This, is an extremely broken factor in this mode. Creating something that is almost exclusively dependent on other players/team is terrible. Think about the reactions people had when Dungeoneering was first coming out. Because of this simple factor, this game mode will fail.

All of your arguments are invalid due to the DDoS issue. Nothing will make someone want to continue playing after disconnecting and losing 100+ hours of grind/their banks. Yes, we may yet eventually improve our servers, but DDoS'ing is a thing that will never go away. As long as there is internet connection, there will be someone attempting to DDoS.

This mode is destined for failure. It was created solely with the vision of generating more money into the pockets of Jagex employees, hence, the reason is was so terribly thought out and so poorly received...

That's the same for ironman mode (which is the only mode I play). Dying because of DDoS attack with your full guthan during a slayer task. This means we need to get a lucky at barrows again to get those 4 exact pieces back. Ironman mode still came through and it is awesome.

If you don't have a team, you either need to make one or strategize how to thrive without it.
When Dg just came out, you had a keyer. The guy given all the keys to to unlock the doors. Same goes with DDM, we have a skillers, PvM and PvP people, all doing their job to help the group thrive in this harsh environment.

I am convinced that you are a lost cause. I am also certain this poll will not even come close to passing. You seem to ignore the important points being brought up, as any rational player would notice. I end my argument here. Good luck on influencing as many narrow minded players as you can. It'll be in vain.

I am convinced that you are a snide pathetic elitist troll. I am also certain that no one knows the result of this until it is polled despite the ramblings of a few delusional "celebrities" (in quotes because they are ******* randoms). You seem to keep spewing the same points which hold no ground as they are all assumption with the only "evidence" being "look at me, i am high level, that means i am good and intelligent and always right. Anyone under my level is stupid and has no concept of consequence. Teehee aren't i a supreme being?". Oh the irony in the one who dismisses arguments simply because the other player is lower level calling people narrow minded. Keep away from this game, your not wanted.

This looks like amazing fun.

ETA: Randomised spawn locations would be fun too or perhaps a small grace period, 5 minutes of not being attackable for example.

Exp rate boosts for this game mode would be cool too. Quadruple experience rates seems viable.

I dislike this idea for reasons that have already been stated, mainly it divides the player base further and the dev time could be spent more constructively imo.

Doesn't really divide the player base. If this is more popular than regular pking, then it surely means that it is an improvement and to not do it would be a waste. This whole server is about going with what the majority wants, not just sticking with the stagnant minority just because they are delusional in thinking they know better.

That is a good point. Maybe a better death punishment would be losing 1 percent of overall XP split over all your skills? So if you were 20m total XP you would lose 8696 XP in all your skills, and if any skills could not be taxed that much due to not being high enough XP to lose that amount, the remainder would go off your highest stat?

So your only argument is that there will be a dev team to this mode once released? I like to see where Jagex has said anything about that. Ironman mode didn't get its own dev team why shoud DDM? PvP is an important aspect in DDM but I can't pk at all, never could. I'm a skiller, working together with PvM and PvP people in a group to thrive in this world. Without it, you cannot thrive in DDM.[/quote]

-sigh-
I think i've made it clear that there are many arguments against this.
Ironman mode doesn't need it's own server(dev team), because it actually fits within the present servers. DDM does, it needs its own server to work. Otherwise, what's stopping reg. players from killing the guards that are meant to enforce the skulling system?

My point in reminding you that this is a PvP themed mode is because you keep suggesting that it isn't. Working together with PvM and PvP? are you kidding me? What happens when one person gets a rare drop. Then it's an absolute mess, a free for all. Not to mention that a lot of PVM zones are multi-zones, meaning, people can easily reduce a person from full-health in a matter of seconds if they choose to.

But wait, you're gonna tell me that "it's all teamwork", no one would do that, right?
well, when you're given the opportunity, people are probably going to take it, regardless of whether it's right or wrong.

I support this idea, but I see 3 issues:

1. You don't speak about higher XP rates, this is a key thing to this gamemode if you want to keep it alive, this shouldn't be the same grind as runescape since you'll die soon or later. So a 10x multiplier would be nice. It makes it also easier for people to rebuild their account after it has been broken down.

2. This gamemode should be able to be played on the same account, will be much more succesful then you would do it like ironman's.

3. Multiple spawn locations so that it's impossible to camp them.
