They mean look alike, but are really very different. Both deal double first hit, but the bleed is much slower than claws giving you more time to heal. The other reason is that if dragon claws hit 0 on the first hit, you could still deal damage on second hit and then the last two would be half that (or half and a forth, forget exact); if you miss your bleed hit, that’s it. So simply put, dragon claws were quicker damage and more consistent/accurate due to how the special worked.

I'm hoping the Bludgeon will be a better DPS weapon than Godswords? I'd really like to see strength and crush bonus' on the weapon. Perhaps better than a Godsword when it's upgraded with a tentacle or somehting?

Its not going to be higher dps than whip, read the blog.

it'll be a higher dps CRUSH weapon than hasta, and the trade off will be that it'll be 2h.
they only use whip as a comparison for the weapon speed, so its scimitar speed

I completely agree with concerns about piecemeal information. stop putting info out on twitter and reddit, aggregate info on the official runescape site.
I agree it seems very lazy the bludgeon and dagger have the same special attack, also I'm concerned of the lack of info of its stats.
Further the idea of an abyssal short bow and or staff seems commonsense. I'm becoming quite sick of lack of viable new range and mage weapons.
in regard to the new boots I'm wholly disgusted. more strength bonus for mele laughable. while rangers must use ranger boots. mele will now have a feasible high tier boot for PvP while rangers have been completely trolled. who would risk tier 75 range boots when ranger boots are 15m plus. but mele tier 75 boots req d boots for approximately 150k for more str bonus. what a troll lool Survival of the fittest

What do you expect to happen with the items needed to upgrade the boots with? Expensive boots = cheap upgrade. Cheap boots = expensive upgrade. It'll even out nicely.

Looks pretty good but I am a bit disappointed that Cerberus slayer requirement was changed from 95 to 91. After all it drops upgrade item to 3 different items which comes BIS after used and those gems for dragon pick and axe to upgrade. There is not alot content in 93-99 at this moment and Cerberus drops seem to be way better than Thermy, which requires 93 slayer.

Abyssal bludgeon and dagger special attacks might be a bit too overpowered in PvP but we will see it in future.
