My only response was that someone wouldn't like it because reasons.

All this discussion about cerberus and the abyssal sire and the only part of the update that actually affects a meaningful portion of the community (in that it effects new players) is just totally ignored!

All those people who are saying "bring back 95 slayer req!!!"... There wasn't even an initial requirement when the first version of the blog released. It was added just because a JMod asked if there should be a slayer requirement via Twitter and some people just said yes. Honestly, there shouln't even be a slayer requirement.
I'm gonna vote no, not because it has a slayer requirement but because they spent too much time on reddit/twitter/other fansites instead of the official forums.

I hope your suggestion for the spec, lunges forward and attacks twice, doesn't mean 2 hits. I don't know what world you live in or how bad you are at math to think that isn't completely overpowered even without the double accuracy.

91 Slayer requirement for Cerberus seems like a good compromise. It is a high enough requirement for new BIS boots while still reserving 93+ level requirements for Zeah.

Boss slayer is now how it should be. It should appeal to those who want to train slayer by fighting a variety of monsters which are challenging, not grinding 200 weak monsters of the same kind. Slayer helmet on all bosses would have changed bossing to the worse, I think, so good call here by limiting the tasks to 1 at a time.

Abyssal bludgeon seems fine, its about time we got a decent crush weapon. As it has the same special attack as the abyssal dagger, makes me wonder why do we even need the abyssal dagger to be added to the game. I think abyssal dagger should be scrapped and replaced with the abyssal bludgeon as a lot of people agree that the game needs a crush weapon not a new stab weapon. Theres already enough new items coming out, no need to release 2 variations of the same weapon (stab and crush), just go with the crush weapon. Its also boring if they have the same special attack, you can do better than that. Atleast make unique special attacks.

Thank you for listening to the community, the slayer update is looking much better than when it was first proposed.

As others have mentioned, I'm really not seeing much use for the dagger. It should be replaced with a range and/or a mage update since melee still has far more content. Magic weapons would be more difficult to balance and a mage armor set would be too much for this particular update and should be done at a later time.

This leaves me with range. It doesn't have to be anything complicated, perhaps the easiest thing that could be done is abyssal javelins. These could take one of two forms depending on the community's preference:

Slow, accurate, harder hitting weapons with no spec or either a weak spec.
Average/below average weapons with a powerful spec.

Since range is lacking in viable spec weapon options, they'd probably prefer the second.



The maul can stay but the doubled accuracy has to go. Relative low accuracy is one of the things that is keeping melee halfway balanced. High accuracy melee specs are a very bad move.

Believe magic to only be for support? Think again. It's just as valid of a Pking style as melee and range is.

Very disappointed with Cerberus being changed to 91 slayer, seems like you gave into some lazy people there.

Some point where not addressed whatsoever from the last dev blog that was posted on forums;

Task list; will all the "stupid" tasks be kept on duradel's and nieve's task list? (Banshees, Basilisks, Brine Rats, Cockatrices, Fever Spiders, Harpie Bug Swarms, Molanisks, Pyrefiends and Wall Beasts). Some of these monsters have 20-30 hp and should not be on a level 85 and especially a 100 combat req slayer master. I understand you need some "filler" tasks and I am not asking you to remove every single one of them tasks (although it would be nice), but some of them definitely need revising.

I'm sorry but this was extremely lazy. Cool a new weapon but you don't post stats. This tells us nothing. How are we supposed to vote when we are constantly kept in the dark about crucial information.

Nothing posted today was that expansive that couldn't have been posted with the June month ahead.

Side note, please stop using reddit as an official form of communiation. It's pathetic how the community has to have their customer service issues addressed through a third party website versus jagex's own systems.

Was expecting more monster buffs

you need to put the herb pack back up to 100 or at least 50 herbs that it can store up to 75 points is to much for a little reword.

hellhounds only drop clues and bones both point less to me another people drops need changeing big times

low lvl creatures that are point less task like wall beast need removing of high slayer masters.

hell hounds needs to stop being a common task because you get nothing from task!

you need to add a 1 handed crush we*** not a 2 handed we*** which will have no useful in game when u have godswords.

please stop bring out point less crap! maybe change some thing in game instead
