I think a lot of you are failing to remember that some of us had already spent time getting 99s on rs2 before it became rs3, then we came back to play OldSchool and had to start all over again from square one. From this perspective, Afking guthans provides a --while still quite lengthy -- good way to train back to the max mains we used to be on rs2. I do not think it is overpowered. If anything, make the prices of herb boxes cost more points, since players seem to think it makes you tons of money (which it really doesn't, rather it's more of a breakeven). ALSO: AFKING WITH GUTHANS WAS ALWAYS AND STILL IS POSSIBLE AT BANDITS IN THE DESERT. So stop acting like its something brand new, newbies.
IF YOU CAN'T BEAT EM, JOIN EM AND STOP COMPLAINING.
As far as splashing goes, I personally train magic this way and have the same perspective as NMZ. I had 99 magic in RS2 and would rather not have to be in front of the computer 24/7 to train it back up to the level I used to have. Splashing to 99 magic takes months with fire strike, it's not overpowered. If you use fire wave it will still take a long time and cost a ton of money.
On the topic of Zulrah and Wyvern*, I think the only people who are complaining about it are people who fail to kill it or don't get lucky with drops. However, I would like to see some additions to drop tables for other bosses as most of them, such as Kalphite Queen, only drop crap (Kalphite Queen drops Dragon Chain and D2h as its rare drops and those are hardly worth anything these days.. only in rs2 was the D chain worth any decent money).
Personally, I think Jagex is trying too hard to add updates to the game when more updates are not necessary. As soon as new updates happen all people do is complain anyways even when they voted for them.
ALSO: Some people actually "AFK" but sit and watch it, that's not AFK in the way everyone deems it. That's essentially playing.
