The connection issue is really upsetting. Jagex, you're a company whom people pay money to play. And they deserve to have adequate service for their money, or a refund. It's how the business works. No one cares if you are being ddosed, people want to use the service they paid for. If a person misses a membership payment they don't get membership, obviously, Jagex doesn't care why. But now when Jagex doesn't provide the service no one bats an eye. People should be refunded for such poor service, period.

I really don't see how people are saying Wyverns are fine because they are hard to kill? After 10-15 minutes of them being agro which simply only requires praying range from a distance, you can sit there and range until your heart is content. You will never be touched due to the safespots. The only worry you have is if the game disconnects endlessly. Other than that you can stay there for as long as you want, given you brought a large number of bolts. I've killed nearly 1.7k of them and I can recognize the amount of bs involved with them. I click a wyvern, run to my spot and proceed to look at a different tab for 2-3 minutes until it is dead. That's your so called "hard to kill" monster in a nutshell, who drops 20k-40k like they are regular bone drops. I really hope Jagex just takes it upon themselves to react and not poll the damn thing or else it will be the same result as the NMZ poll from way back.

Exactly right, I am really frustrated because i'm paying for a service I cannot currently use; because of this problem. Something needs to be done about it ASAP and if the problem continues then customers will expect a refund or free membership days to compensate.

Jagex, the disconnect issues are obviously huge for players but it's a bigger issue for the solvency of your company. These DDoS attacks started a long time ago and have continued for months, with the recent escalation of said DDoS attacks making the game even more unplayable than it has been in a long time.

With that said, it's important to realize that it is currently May 20th, meaning the annual summer influx of players is going to be heavily influenced by the DDoS attacks. If they come to the same conclusion as many of us have (i.*. that the game is virtually unplayable; I mean you can't even log back in to collect your items so what's the point of a 30 minute timer!!), then I can only reason that they will approach other paid games and devote their time/money to other desktop-based MMO games (Hearthstone, LoL, WoW, CS:GO, etc) and console-based MMO and/or RPG games (Call of Duty, NBA 2K, Assassin's Creed, etc.).

In essence, the loss of subscriptions (whether from summer players or consistent players like myself), which imo is very likely, equates to a significant loss in financial support for the OSRS platform as well as your company as a whole. For your sake, I implore you to find a solution to these DDoS attacks, whether that be moving your servers to a much more guarded location and/or paying for a MUCH better anti-DDoS/firewall services. If you'd like, I can point you to several renowned companies who offer such services.

Thanks

Yeah...I am glad you're aware of whats going on but i started up a month ago because of the nostalgia, but sadly i can't do anything lagging like this even though im paying for membership. The only thing i can think of to rectify our suffering is to give us a month+ of membership for free when the connection/ddos issue is over. I can't quest, i can't do slayer tasks, or any combat related training.

I don't like the generous drop tables, or anything that floods the market with easier money making methods than typically found in osrs. The ddos attacks I realize you are working to fix, but they are a major annoyance to the community. As per previous comment some players feel that membership should be offered to be refunded. Although I disagree with this, I do agree however- that if this remains an ongoing issue, that 14 day bonds may be given to those suffering a loss of playability. Players then have the option to continue membership when they choose to claim the bond, or to sell the bond to other players for a little extra playing cash. Splashing was around in 2007, it's a part of the game itself, although I do not personally splash- in order to do this method of magic, one must spend a lot of gold. That being said, it also helps to filter massive amounts of runes out of the market that would not otherwise be filtered out of the game, which in turn helps the economy as these players are not collecting their drops either.
