I'm curious as to why changes are being made based on straw polls linked through twitter. A lot of people don't have twitter, and most OSRS players don't follow the jmods if they do.

Bossing is the only reason I play OSRS. It's the reason a lot of people play OSRS. At this point only ~2000 people have 95 slayer, because it takes so damn long to get there and not everyone slays. High level stuff is fine but I'm not sure if the larger community was asking for updates that would take spend months in development if only a very small subsection of the community would have access to it.

Players that meet the new criteria are very outspoken in their support of it because the less access to the loot, the richer they'll get. If that's the way it must be then but a door leading off from the boss room that requires 95 slayer to open and put a chest in their with the chance of rewarding a gem as loot. At least the rest of us that leveled skills necessary to kill bosses (in order to do so) will get a shot at secondary loot, pets, and we'll get to see all the work our membership goes toward.

Another solution to the awkward problem of having one slayer boss without a requirement is; requiring points to get the task each time (say 200-300 points for 60-100 boss kills?)

Bossing and slayer are two different worlds in my book. Adding a boss and then locking it to 95 slayer is like adding a boss and locking it to 95 construction.

Cerberus
I feel the 95 Slayer requirement for Cerberus is a bit overkill. It being a Slayer Boss I think a Slayer requirement makes sense, however, I feel the level requirement definitely needs to be voted on through the official channels (In-game poll/website poll). In my opinion 90 Slayer would suffice.

I like the idea of upgrading items instead of replacing them completely, unfortunately with boots it really doesn't make sense to me. If there were already current slayer dropped boots for Range and Mage I could get behind this idea easier. Infinity boots/Ranger boots have nothing to do with slayer but if lower tier slayer dropped boots were released along side an item to make them best in slot it would ruin Ranger/Infinity. In my eyes the biggest problem with this situation is the fact we've waited so long to address the giant gap between Snakeskin boots and Ranger boots. I see a few possible options here:
1) Trash the upgraded boots idea
2) Have a Slayer item upgrade mini-game/treasure trail item and make 0 sense. (Might as well have Bandos boots be upgraded instead).
3) Have the "yet unnamed crystals" be completely trade-able and the ability to upgrade by "x" amount and then require 75 of the corresponding stat to equip and this would be available to Snakeskin boots, Ranger boots, Wizard boots, Infinity boots, etc. So Ranger boots are currently +8 range attack when "yet unnamed crystals" is applied +12 is achieved, for Snakeskin boots current is +3 when "yet unnamed crystals" is applied +7 is achieved. Obviously this really isn't a solution since it creates many other additional problems.

Abyssal Dagger
Even as this was being designed on stream I thought to myself *Why are they even designing a dagger that will be useless*... Trash the idea and start over. Abyssal demon drops an awesome unique weapon and the Abyssal Sire drops a dagger? Seriously?

The Stronghold Slayer cave is already large enough and overcrowded. How about making new locations/dungeons to go to for slayer tasks instead of cramming more into one place.
Spread mosters out across the world, even if some locations only have a few spawns. Make it seem more natural for the creatures to be there.

I also want to write a reminder to you to make sure drop tables aren't overpowered/too good. With zulrah, skeletal wyverns, and other drop table updates there has been a tendency to buff drops too heavily. Just a trend I would like you to be mindful of.

keep up the great work!

You guys are consistently delivering stellar content! Keep up the great work! :)

My only big suggestion:

I agree that a new Strength training weapon is needed, but I don't think it should be a stab weapon. The Zamorakian Hasta already occupies the high level stab weapon niche. Yes, it can't train strength but that's good for keeping weapons like the Saradomin Sword relevant.

However, the game is missing a level 70 attack crush weapon . Currently the best crush weapon is the Zamorakian Hasta, which is just better in all ways as a stab weapon (which makes sense because it's a spear).

It would make much more sense for the Abyssal Dagger to be replaced by an Abyssal Mace or Abyssal Flail (both one-handed). Though these weapons usually have an attack speed of 5, this would have an attack speed of 6 (just like how the Z-Spear has an attack speed of 6 even though normal spears have an attack speed of 5). This would make it a relevant Strength training weapon.

This weapon could have a crush attack bonus in the range of 80 to 90 and a Strength bonus in the range of 70 to 75.

Though the exact stats would be important, stats in that general range would make the new weapon a more accurate strength training weapon than the Saradomin Sword but less powerful, which would offer a reasonable tradeoff. However, it would add a designated crush weapon that would be great against monsters weak to crush*

**;DR: I think it would be great to replace the Abyssal Dagger with an Abyssal Mace or Abyssal Flail that would be a one handed weapon that attacks at the same speed as a dagger but do crush damage rather than stab damage.

Please improve the drops of
crocodiles
. This is my only wish.

Make them a require a slayer level if you want to jusify this.

Make them level 65, and have them drop the "Vicious Crocodile Fang....of death".

But wait! Crocodiles don't have fangs? Oh but these do! :P You've been in the heat long enough to clearly have hallucinations :P hehe

If I 'contribute' anything to improvement of slayer, this is what I want. Or just remove them from slayer completely if you won't improve their drops.

I think the dragon hatchet and pickaxe ideas are great.
I also like the upgradeable boot idea, except i think we should explore the idea of making them degradeable. They could be repaired in a similiar fashion to Barrows items. This could be a great oppourtunity for a consistent gold sink.

yea i like the slayer task increase. in sense i agree with drop tables for wyvern* as i can make tonnes of GP there. the idea for the bleed affect is fine in my opinion though im sure later on it will make a combo with venom very opd. Everyone fights, no one quits.
