Would I seriously nust be able to use my slayer helm on ANY boss? I think making sub-categories as previously mentioned is probably the way to go.

Also, the Cerberus boss should be scrapped and replaced with a spiritual trio boss. Would make so much more sense with the rewards you want to put on cerberus' drop table.

A slim chance to receive the jad pet? Come on jagex I'm not a some guy who has 500m lying around and does firecape runs every day. Make the drop rate uncommon and make it to where you can either get the pet or cape or possibly both.

Oh and see Jad pets everywhere you go, in every single bank? No - how absurd. They should be rare to such a degree that only those who kill Jad many times has any real chance of obtaining it. Having a Jad pet should demonstrate both a players dedication and skill at killing it, which is why I much prefer the original idea where you would pay 50-100 Firecapes in exchange for one. In this scenario we might see a fight cave novice get a pet on his first victory, and a fight cave veteran kill 100 and maybe still not get one.
This should definitely be reconsidered.

Boss Tasks should be categorized and be capped. Otherwise, it would create an undesirable merge of Slayer and Bossing, as highlighted by many on this thread already. The two should be kept separate, as some prefer slayer over bossing and vice versa.

Please John, listen to Mini Finbarr's feedback, particularly in respect to his comments on the Abyssal Dagger. The price will not hold, and quickly become worthless. As Finbarr stated earlier, the dagger (or an alternative signature drop) must be comparable, if not better, than the signature drop of its original monster. The abyssal dagger does not do this, and there is only a tiny amount of people who would use the weapon as it stands. Either add a unique special attack that allows it to be of use in a way that no other weapon is, or increase its base stats. Since we already have a best in slot stab weapon, consider opting for a special attack, or scrap the dagger entirely and create a best in slot crush weapon as it would fill a gap.

An excellent start John, but this needs to be heavily refined based on all feedback.

Thank you for putting this together. I can only imagine how much work went into getting this out for us to read.

I hate for the bulk of my post to highlight where I don't like the proposals but I hope I can be constructive in my feedback. :)

First of all, a task of "x bosses" does not appear to be a good idea as this means you are almost required to skip slayer tasks until receiving bosses in order to play at maximum ~efficiency~. My personal favourite suggestion to improve this is splitting up the bosses into "Zilyana", "Giant Mole" etc. which can then be unlocked for an arbitrary (but high eg 100/150/200) number of slayer points.

Second, if you must poll broad darts, please please please limit them to be effective against Turoth and Kurask ONLY. I was of the belief that the Toxic Blowpipe was introduced to create a market for darts. Introducing broad darts destroys a large percentage of that market only six or so months later.

At 100 herbs of each type, the herb bag seems incredibly OP but I guess that's more a matter of personal opinion. I was more expecting something along the lines of 10 of each type (eg enough to just about cover you on one Abberant Spectres task).

What I am most worried about is further expansion of the Slayer Cave. I've never liked it (and if I was in control of OSRS I would remove it excepting the Kraken & Thermy lairs :P ) as I believe it turns Slayer from a skill of exploration to a grind i.e. get task, enter cave, kill monster, get task, repeat. Adding Blue Dragons and Black Demons to the cave only progresses that further while simultaneously taking player traffic away from yet another Old School dungeon.

To further my point regarding expansion of the cave, I'd love to see the Cerberus and Abyssal Sire moved to other areas of the map and subsequently given Slayer requirements where 95 & 97 seem sensible suggestions. I believe fantastic things could be done with the Cerberus in either Taverly or Witchaven Dungeons as well as the Sire being accessed by being sucked into the central yet unstable Abyssal Rift which is kept in balance by the Dark Mage and currently used only for Runecrafting.

Not only could it make for an interesting back story to how the Sire found itself to reside there but also provide an interesting twist with players needed to take their gear into low level wilderness to meet and defeat this boss. This adds another small layer of risk and as such would greatly help to keep prices stable on the Sire's signature drop(s).

Again, thank you so much for putting this together and opening "the floor" to feedback from the community. This is what makes OSRS great. :)

I dislike the fact that every slayer monster is located in the same ugly looking cave near a bank. Im talking about Stronghold slayer cave. And the cave is located in the midst of gnome stronghold which looks like a peaceful place where you could have a picnic. Why is the cave inhabiting the biggest amount of creatures in the game located there?
Slayer is about different species of monsters, and each species should have their own unique environment. Some roam near lava, some dwell in mud or a swamp, another is surrounded by magical glyphs. Stronghold slayer cave looks nothing like the rest of the world, its so out of place. I dont like the idea that it will be the home of hellhound boss or abyssal sire. Instead Im suggesting that you place the hellhound boss in Taverley dungeon in a separate room near the hellhounds and place the abyssal sire on the other side of a portal located on top of the Canifis slayer tower.

Broad darts seem like a good sink for all those slayer points.

Eternal boots should NOT have +5 ranged defence. Theres only 2 kinds of boots giving ranged defence: Bandos boots giving +15 ranged defence and roque boots giving +2. Bandos boots are melee boots so it is justified, but Eternal boots would be the new best in slot mage boots in addition to being the second best boots for ranged defence. This is unacceptable for mage boots.

Pegasian boots seem quite strong with +12 range attack when ranger boots have +8 not to mention snakeskin boots (which most of the people are still rocking) have only +3. I would suggest a modest +10 range attack for pegasian boots.

I think you should also rework the concept of using ranger boots, infinity boots and dragon boots to create the new best in slots. D boots are very common, infinity boots are obtained from a minigame and ranger boots are a rare TT reward. It just doesnt seem right. You could have regular hellhounds drop blank boots which can be enchanted with the crystal of your choice from the hellhound boss.
