2004 here, Personally I don't say no to change, I just think it's a bit modern for the game we're playing. the point was nastalga.

Please, I'm begging you 100% thing overall please don't change the functionality of the highscores.

In example, runescape3 is so hard to navigate their highscores. you have to click this click that click compare THEN you can look everyone up

the way it's set up now let's you go in any direction when finding someone on highscores

I find it funny when the community all worked refusal of the company.
I mean, you are going the wrong way.

The company has to understand that they do not work for them, but for us! Players.

I hope they change the thinking, if not perhaps may fail with the company.
Remember, the Rs2 had 200k players online at the runescape gold time, today not even add up all the players runescape old with players runescape 3, had not reached the foot of the runescape once was.

Looks good, but the nav bar needs a little bit of tweaking. Btw, not digging the metalic look with the old look, and the green button for the play button.

EDIT: For the hiscores, can you add the things how it was before like in 2008 (I think) where it shows you that you have just defeated Jad, or completed a Quest etc. ALSO, please add our own OSRS Forums. PLEASE, FOR THE SAKE OF SARADOMIN

The new design is really nice!

I don't know why people are complaining so much, fair enough the nostalgia factor but some of the feedback I've seen is surprising. People are acting like there's going to be Treasure Hunter banners flying round the page and back, no, it's time there was a design change to make the site more user-friendly, faster and generally more welcoming

I personally think that the whole point for having an 'Oldschool server' was for the appearance to look nostalgic - to make players feel as though they're playing the game in 2007. That said, I do like aspects of the new designs, but I think the theme ends up following the one that the main game took in late 2011. To possibly please the majority of the community, a design could be created that doesn't match either the really old theme or the new Runescape 3 theme - but fits in with the website with aspects such as more detailed shading and the placement of the navigation bar. However, I personally feel it would suit the oldschool site more to keep the current colour scheme but modify the layout so that it suits the main site for the game. Then, not only do you keep the nostalgic colours, but you also please a large percentage of the community that also want the website to appear 'newer' as well as retain the retro style.
