Hoping it passes, the sooner we get F2P the faster we retain current players, especially with membership price increases coming soon. I know some of you are worried this will lead to further MTX for the OSRS Jmods said there are no plans, it would need to be polled, and the community are strongly against those forms of MTX so they won't pass.

The "buying of gold" impact is really not noticeable in RS3, and if it means the game will stay healthy and alive for longer that certainly beats if the game died earlier at which point you won't even have devalued achievements, you would just have nothing and regret you didn't make the choice to ensure the longevity of the game.

Nicely said.

didn't we just do all this in the last discussion? my opinion is as follows..

bonds should be separate from f2p..

I will vote a definite NO!!!!!

you know I believe that if the question was polled as..

do you vote in favor of osrs bonds...the majority would probably vote a resounding NO

however that isn't the question...

knowing that the demand is popular for f2p permanently

it is wrong to use the temptation of perm f2p just to get bonds voted in...

that's called manipulation and almost a kind of bribery..

IF YOU WANT F2P then we have to have bonds.....
that's wrong..

also you just are raising our membership so why isn't that enough?

you are forcing us to vote for bonds because you know everyone wants f2p.....not cool

also we think we are getting what we want in this game.
.but in reality the master plans seems to be to re poll everything until it eventually passes.....
again...not cool

none of this crap was supposed to ever enter our game.

.are we gonna buckle under because we want f2p?

If you guys want this to actually pass you'll ever to emphasise the "f2p part" and not the bonds in the question, make the question something like:

" would you like permanant f2p to be added to runescape? The only way to do this would be to allow membership bonds to be buyable in game"

Instead of:

"Should membership bonds be obtainable in game? This would allow f2p bla bla bla"..

Hmm, one thing I don't understand was before this announcement Mat K said we were steadily gaining members when people said they were concerned.

I think perm f2p is overrated and doesn't warrant legal and risk-free gp buying.

I agree with your assessment. I would be happy to see perm f2p + bonds introduced to OSRS at this point.

I don't really play old school (much) but I hope the poll will be clear enough so people actually know that F2P won't be added without bonds and such. Because if the question is unclear then I'm afraid a lot of players will just vote 'no' since they might not want bonds in old school.
Not everyone reads the newspage I guess. I'd like to see F2P in old school, might even create a new account just to play as some FTP pure.

except your question says nothing about bonds being buyable with RL cash and implies they can only be bought with RS GP, manipulating people into voting yes.

Just word the question honestly.

"Should we add permanent F2P to Oldschool Runescape? If this passes, we will also introduce membership bonds that can be bought for real life money and can be used to add days to membership or sold to another player"

Deceiving people and manipulating them into voting yes for something by wording it in a shady way isn't a road we should be going down.

This really seems unfair, to be forced to vote for one thing to get another when they're not directly related. I don't know what I'm going to vote for yet, as I'm torn. I hope whatever passes, it works out.
