R.I.P. Old School Runescape

This was fun while it lasted. We're headed back in the direction that killed off RS2, I know. I lived it once. The idea of playing the game in the golden era was such a great idea, but now with the release of the economy killing Grand Exchange, we'll be ending that era.

How about making the graphics even larger like how they got released in 2008? Yeah that's oldschool too! How about the summoning skill!? That's oldschool too!

It's a head scratcher when I try to understand if people know what the whole point of OSRS was intended for.

Although I solely blame Jagex for what RS3 has become as well as rushing to bring the GE back and failing to initially implement some key features for the TP like posting buy offers and disallowing players' trade offers if they're private chat is off, I can't blame Jagex for the outcome of OSR, but I can certainly blame the RS community. This is how totally brainless the voting cattle in the community is.

First, in the Trading Solution poll back in late May, they voted down being able to trade items through the TP rather than having to meet up to use the existing trade system. It was 72% yes and 28% no, which was 3% shy of the 75% threshold to get that GE-like feature. To me, that exactly alludes to having the GE. Additionally, that clearly has indicated that they don't favor a GE-esque system in OSR with the auto-trade feature, which is fine, and that basically translates to no GE.

Now, after they've gotten the TP as they mostly had voted for without the auto-trading feature, they whined and cried about that, yet those are probably the same bozos who didn't allow said feature to pass in the first place. Also, after listening to their shepherds like sheep, they turned around and rigged the GE poll to pass in order to take the easy way out, and now, they're complaining about having it placed in all banks so that it can be easily accessible. I'm beginning to wonder how many monkeys were behind the keyboards during the GE poll as well as this one.

The poll was out for a week like normal polls are but the location/decanting/grimy herbs are all the tweaks that are going to being polled??

Why are there no tweaks about how the Grand Exchange should operate? I have a few in mind:

When logging out for X amount of time should your offers on the Grand Exchange be aborted? (Stops people from logging online to just Merchant/Flip and then log out.)

Should you must meet a certain total level requirement to access the Grand Exchange. (Would be implemented to lessen the impact bots will have on the economy.)

i'm on board for the total level idea. Great one. The only concern i had about the GE coming back was the bots selling bulk so easily. This hits bots pretty good.

the only mistakes that could even be considered mistakes
99hp/pray to 990
rs2 -> rs3= not doing it like classic with transfer options

if you dont like ge dont use it right now im seeing alot bs in osr*
example people buying a lesser traded clue scroll items for next to nothing
(extremely cheap) then reselling with in less then 10mins for almost 10,000x what they payed for it (thats more scamming then marching)
or some items with false supply/demand were theirs no demand or to much supply

i could go on main point if you dont like it dont use it
if they did add summoning (i know alot people liked it) no ones forcing you to train it

if you ask me jagex has been way to nice to us by letting us have say in it

if anything tho economy is massed up right now :P
common items have way more value then they should

Common items aren't worth sht. People just drop them. With GE they will have value. You don't make any sense at all. Also if summoning comes out I will straight out quit. Wish they would have put people with heart for OSRS behind Jagex oldschool team. Good job ruining the game yourself. RIP OSRS. Most yes-voters don't even know what they voted for. This is what you get when you let people decide that were still in kindergarten when RuneScape was at its peek.
